I watched alot of this kid the last couple of years and he was dominant. He has speed , Great hands, Good Vertical, Good Route Running , He will go over the middle and make the tough catch , with Wilford and Ginn he would be a great 3rd reciever. He got in trouble for a little weed. Big deal. Ricky Williams left us high and dry a few years ago to go hit the bong all over the country and I see a million posts praising the guy. I like him but he screwed us worse than JT or any other player ever has. When we traded for Ricky I was giddy like a little school girl . We finally had a good RB only if it was about 15 years ago. But I thought with decent QB play we could contend for a Super Bowl. He left us and wouldnt quit smoking and honor his contract and help this team win. But its ok to love him and post the R&R and Ricky is healthy and going to have a great year. Every time we mention picking up or siging or even drafting a player that has has any problems everybody says NO! or We dont need that in the locker room we are rebuilding. Jay Feely, Ricky Williams, JT all cause problems but just a few days ago most of you were against trading JT cause hes played he so long and hes a Dolphin for life. Adarius Bowman if given a shot will start somewhere in this league he has way too much talent not too. Once again and incentive based contract and a no trouble clause could light a fire under him. Here is a link to see some of his play and then I want the people who said he is slow to tell me what you think now since no CB on here could catch him. He is a player who reminds me alot of TO. No matter what he does off the field he always performs at a Pro Bowl level . I believe Salisbury and Corso compared him to TO a couple of years ago. BP get your thumb out of Jerry Jones bum and look at this kid

I'd say one of 2 reasons.....we can't/won't sign every player that is released from every team, and because Parcells doesn't want to sign every headache in the NFL

I dont understand either....u might as well give the guy a shot he so much as crosses the street without using a crosswalk and you cut him, put it into his contract that he would have to return all money if he gets involved in any criminal activity..........there is no way this could hurt the dolphins!

I'd say one of 2 reasons.....we can't/won't sign every player that is released from every team, and because Parcells doesn't want to sign every headache in the NFL

1. He hasn't been released from any team, he has yet to sign with anyone.
2. Any front office will do cost benefit analysis on any player, including a kid like Thurman, who was just released from Cincy. And one more important thing to remember. Just because a player has a media reputation for ill repute doesn't mean that he wouldn't benefit a team that has done due diligence and has a complete understanding of all the facts. A true assessment will come out when the team gives some statement or doesn't give one at all and doesn't sign a guy. That would probably explain why they haven't signed Bowman.
3. Another simple reason is they might like the personnel they have better than the guy that is out there.

Dominant players don't go undrafted . . . kid either is NOT dominant or has off the field issues . . . in this situation . . . both . . . because even the most dominant players w/ off the field issues . . . . get DRAFTED . . . someone rolls the dice on them . . . Bowman is not that . . . he has potential . . but he is slow . . . and honestly he may not be as good as who we already have . . . trust me if he was . . . he would have been signed.

I have no doubt he is better than DAvid Kircus we just dont want him.

Character issues, pure and simple. Sorry it couldn't be a longer reply, but that's your answer.

It is a big deal when it has happened more than once and in the case of Bowman it has happened atleast two times. He was dismissed from UNC because he was cited for possession of marijuana. Less than a month before the NFL draft this he was arrested for possession.

When you combine his problems with marijuana, his poor showing during Senior Bowl week (which Jeff Ireland saw first hand) and his rather pedestrian time in the 40 at the combine, you should understand why he hasn't been given a tryout with the Miami Dolphins.

Maybe teams are waiting to see how his latest legal troubles turn out before giving him a tryout.

wonder how adarius feels NOW about "keeping it real"?

i wonder if his mom, struggling in the ghetto, is telling
her dear son that she is SO PROUD that he chose to "keep
it real" instead of honing his GOD given talents and being
selected hi in the draft and providing not only himself, but
her also, a life time of financial security?

naaawww, she wanted him to hang with his gold tooth idiots and
smoke blunts and drink 40's and take nuthin' off no coaches.

i feel bad for her. what a son!!!

what a waste!! that kid could have had it all.

No slower than Ernest Wilford and he has been extremly productive on the field against good competition.

people here is the deal . i just learned last week that his knee was noth healthy and two days before the combine he had eye surgery and his vision was blurred . why did he decline to participate , because he has something called pride but truthfuly his screw up with weed did him in more then the on field problems . He is going to cfl and work out and rebound and then try the nfl again later , which is what i would do as well.
I just thought i would pass this nugget along because he really did have eye surgery and his knee wasnt even 80 %

I heard he signed a contract with the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL......him and David Boston.

But I googled him and can't find anything regarding that.

So with character issues you guys want to cut Reagan , Will Allen , Jay Feely . No no you dont. Cmon . NObody said sign every player available but when its a guy that can help the team. What are some of you guys new to the Dolphins this year. Have you not watched the past years when we have had no good WR except Welker and Maybe Chambers. And yes dominant players do go undrafted for diff reasons.I guess you guys dont watch NCAA football either. Have you not seen the guy play. Did you watch the youtube. It didnt look like any of the CB were catching him. You die hard fans would rather watch Hagan drop a million passes and Camerillo catch 2 TD and you praise him that he is better than Jerry Rice. Bowman was better in college and has more talent in his wanger than Hagan, Camarillo, and Kircus. Kircus has had more problems than Bobby Brown and R Kelly combined but I didnt hear a big fuss about him. I guess some of you think with your left nut. You dont want to get better just have a catholic school girl goody team that does community service and reads to children and sends food to Somalia. Get the F*** out of here. Adarius Bowman will be a starter in this league and when a teamgets smart and gives him a chance they will be given the gift of a starting WR who can make all the catches and can go over the middle. Oh yeah Jason Foster though is much better. And Devone Bess from what I read on here is the best WR to ever play in the NFL but he was undrafted. You guys are bias against good players since you are so used to watching a bunch of no talent turds on the field. Do you guys want to actually give Beck or Henne a chance to win and be great or not. If so give him the best talent we can give him and move forward. With Wilford and Ginn Im not sure so many team are scared to face us. They are not going to have to plan to play us . Stack the box and stop R&R and man the WR since they arent that good. Wilford best #'s are 618 yds and 7 Td's not exactly pro bowl type numbers. Why not bring some of these players in and give them a chance. I believe Bowman was projected to go in the first 2 rounds before the weed deal. He is a TO mold but an inch taller. He is explosive out of the gate and will catch the difficult balls and has a great first burst to create space . He is great after the catch and is a game breaker. But he wasnt that good in college I guess with stats like this
2006 13 Games 60 rec 1181 yds 12Td and 19.7 YPCatch
2007 11 Games 67 rec 1006 yds 8 TD and 15 YPC

But I guess Hagan is going to develop at some point in his career right and Camarillo will take us to the super bowl with his 2 TD catch last year and 160 yds. And Perry and Kircus are worth 1st round picks each. Bring Bowman in and lets see what the kids got. Its NOT NOT NOT going to hurt. If hes good or great we win. If not then cut him and say bye. He will play for the league min and if he is good give incentives. There is no way we lose here.
