Just got thru watching the replay. They could've and should've thrown to him a lot more. Even Gruden was saying he'd like to see a lot more of Bess. Bess seems to be the forgotten guy. He's like the 5th option. 1- Marshall 2- Bush 3- Hartline 4 - Fasano

:crazy::rolleyes2:

The bigger question is why is Hartline in the equation. He catches with his chest and often falls 2-3 steps after he makes a catch. Yup he's fast but so is Gates and even Moore. I would much rather see Moore or even Wallace getting playing time. Guys with chips on their shoulders who want to prove their value.

I thought Henne did a great job of spreading the wealth.

I think you need to consider the coverage looks the Patriot's defense gave Henne. In past meetings, Bess has been the one weapon their defense couldn't really solve. The Pats figured out how to bracket Bess and make the other receivers beat them.

Like 90% of the time the ball was going to Bush.
I'm going for bush 90% of the time too. The other 10%? Lock up your pets. (kidding)

Why is Bess the 5th option?

Because he is to slow, he is great for the dink and dunk game. That is why they like to call quick. Which means he is slow but runs great routes. In reality Miami wants to attack down he field now.

So there you have it that. His quickness makes him the third - fifth option on the field. And I know that will chap a few of you. Sorry about that but it is what it is.

On yes one more thing, Greg Camarillo quickness got him traded, you only need one possession receiver per team we will see where it leads Bess eventually as well.

He definitely isn't a gamebreaker but he is clutch and consistent . . . he shouldn't be getting 10 catches a game . . . 5 is ideal for Davone Bess. 5 catches a game over 16 games is 80 catches for the year . . . seems ideal to be honest with you. 5 catches, 92 yards? That's a hell of a game from Bess.
