I'm getting truly sick of this, a lot of the media/fans are now saying we lack talent, but we won last week because of coaching and the heat. What a bunch of crap!!! I mean sure having a great coaching staff is going to help us out A LOT, but to say this team doesn't have any talent is utterly rediculous. In fact I'd go so far as to say The Miami Dolphins have an Abundance of talent, and have more than most other teams. Like I said in another post.......... R. Brown, Morris, Chatman, RW(when he gets back) Chambers, Boston, Booker, Welker, Mcmichael, and that's just on offense you be Very hard pressed to find another team with so much talent at the skill positions, and our defense has a lot of it too.......... Taylor, Thomas, Seau, Crowder, Spragen, Traylor, Carter, Holliday, Jones, Schulters, Madison, hell even Yerimiah Bell, and Travis Daniels This team has "talent" and TONS OF IT!!!

Well having 4 good running backs doesn't help you when you lack talent at the quarterback position. Having depth at WR doesn't mean much when you have a "work in progress" o-line. 7 good defensive linemen doesn't help when you don't have enough capable DBs. It's all relative.

Actually if you look at it position by position, we probably only have two or three guys in the top fifteen at their position. McMike, Taylor & Thomas.

Let them keep saying it too....

The more our players here that, the better off we'll be when game day rolls around. There's nothing like a team that has a chip on it's shoulder, and this team is growing a big one right now....

PHINZ RULE!!!

I didn't say we had a 7 good defensive linemen, last time I checked, Thomas, Seau, Crowder, Spragan, Schulters, Jones, Madison weren't all on the D-line. I truly believe the team has talent nearly everywhere(except maybe at center IMO) The secondary, and O-line is better than people think, (pass protection has been pretty darn good lately, and coverage in the seconday has been more than good too) and Gus definitely has talent, he's just getting old, and isn't a long term answer

I'd say Traylor, Carter, Chambers, Ricky (when he's back), and possibly Madison could be considered top 15.

The people who claim we have no talent, who are they exactly? Why does it matter what they say when they have no influence on the Dolphins at all? Why care about it?

The media, critics and fickle fans only recognize talent when you win. Much of last year's disaster was a result bad mental and psychological preparation and horrible coaching. Yes we lacked talent at o-line and QB and RB last year, but with proper attitude and coaching we still should have won 6 to 8 games. This year, with some talent additions to both the O and D we and a much better coaching philosophy we should be able to hit greater heights. I will be somewhat disappointed if we don't finish at least 9-7 and I am hoping for more like 11-5.

Not a bad post......however lacking talent and not having ANY talent is two different things. I don't think any broadcaster has said we haven't ANY talent.

Traylor is old, but I could see your point there.
Carter is not a top 15 defensive end, maybe top 15 Left End.
I bet I could name 20 WRs you would be happy to trade Chambers for.
Ricky...I'll stay off this till I see him play in a real game again.
Madison, you are really stretching here.

..You could say the same for the Patriot's..Playing well as a team and executing the gameplan is what win's games. Look how much "talent" the Redskins have.

I will say we have enough talent to win. We might not be solid all around, but who really is?Like the movie says, "On any given Sunday!"

i think the problem is that everyone just wants to look at our QB situation, but i agree you look at the rest of the team its pretty loaded...

i was talking to an old friend of mine a HUGE dallas fan, and he was talking **** with me like how denver sucks and dont think we going to the superbowl yet... and he was like you dont have anyone on your team... and i was like lets just talk offense, when you have ricky and ronnie in the backfield with chambers, booker, and mcmichael lined up, who does a defense focus on? seriously who cares who our QB is, with options like that we can be potent...

That's what I meant. Top 15 Left End, which is what he plays.

Chambers is top 3 behind Owens and Moss for Tds per season since 2001. He also didn't have Garcia/McNaab and Culpepper throwing to him. I really don't think that top 15 isn't all that much of a stretch.

Ricky will be top 15, he was top 5 when he left and he was good throughout camp and preseason.

Madison played his *** off Sunday. I did say possibly...but not every team has a good a corner as Madison is. I'm gunna look at teams CBs and make a judgment.

hoge and darren woodson still think our offense is the same as it was in the past (nfl live) thats ridiculous

carter's 4th on the sacks list of active players...hard to argue with that
