Why does KC's offense always kick the **** out of our D? As a matter of fact so do the Jets. The balanced attacks that they have are entirely different. Jets go small passes and lots of successful runs. KC's passing game is more verticle with sub par receivers at best but a dominant running game and they pound us. The last time I believe we played KC was about three years ago and they put forty up on the board against us. Our D still doesn't know how to blitz without running right into people and the corner position is in question. I am by far and away a die hard supporter of this team but I'm beginning to believe that perhaps we may be still another three to four years away as long as we get some good drafts before this team will be a serious threat. The D is getting old. The qb position is in a complete flip flop (sorry folks but Clemons is not the answer), and our OL is Fing aweful! Our RB situation is more than promising, WR's filled with ? TE awesome. I don't know what is it we need to do to be realistic and be sucessful in the long run???

Coaching has nothing to do with it. It is the talent. Kc has a great o-line, and it’s not just us they manhandle.

I have to agree with the other poster, coaching isn't why we get domianated against KC, it's size. When you have guys like Roaf and Shields on a line, size is a natural advantage. You could say the same about Mawae and the Jets.

Mawae is small............so there goes that.

I was trying to say that coaching has nothing to do with why we get dominated by Cheifs and Jets O-line. A good coach can make all the difference in the world, but when you don't have the talent it will not do much. Do you think that Herm Edwards is a great coach?

true, but the talent was either overated based on some of the choking it did when we needed it in big games under jimmy and early wanny, or it was not coached well

no, but does that mean he cant outcoach another coach at some point? the jets simply out coached wanny and bates for years.

We need a great QB, someone who can throw it and run it when needed...our QB's cant sustain drives and our 3 and outs put our D on the field all day. That is why we need a guy like Vince Young or Omar Jacobs.

No but we had a coach who was matching Zach Thomas with Gonzalez all day long. That was just daft.

KC has the best OL in the game. Under wanny our smallish ends got pushed around vs them. Under Nick their interior OL got out on our LB's. When you have Ol as versitile and agil as theirs you have a real big problem when your d is based on speed and aggression. Their boys are means and they have the best TE which is perfect to open up the middle of the field and speed on the outside that has to be respected. Oh and they have a really good QB.
