Most of the blame is pointed at spotty db play, but Brady had all day to throw. Outside of maybe 4 plays (Wake's sack and hurries, Sapps collision that created the Odrick INT, and a few all out blitzes that forced some incomplete passes), Brady was way to comfortable in the pocket for a majority of the game.

Similar to last year..outside of Wake, subpar pass rush- even against an injury-riddled O-line. Our linemen were gassed. And what, against the patsies 6-7 active lineman and two got injured?

another pass rusher was a need in the offseason.

We had a pass rush? Brady had times where he was standing flat footed for 6+ seconds.

When you have that much time, a QB off the street can pick apart a defense. Throw in the fact that it is Brady, and you have a clinic.

don't worry - we are. the entire defense played like vaginal discharge. and looked defeated while doing so.

 Disgusting, but

I'm blaming the pass rush. Wake was poor, especially in the first half. The only guy up front who I thought played well was Randy Starks.

Lining up Solder, or whatever his name is, really hampered Wake. Other than that, though, the defensive play calling was pretty vanilla for most of the game ESPECIALLY in the first half. Nolan and the D better be ready to adjust as the season goes on. And they better do it quick because there's another dynamic offense coming in on Sunday.

On another not, the D better hit the weight room, do some cardio or something because they looked gassed out there. Conditioning needs to be a LOT better primarily when we're facing these high powered offenses so early in the season.

the only thing i can say about the entire D was that they were consistently terrible. brady had all day. the LB unit couldn't spell the word 'assignment'. the DB's didn't maintain coverage for a second. the replays were just sad. their receivers were open immediately. we didn't even entertain the idea of stopping them.

one huge hit on brady. that's all i wanted. penalize us 50 yards. give them 7 points. i don't give a fugg. i just wanted that one mammoth hit to wipe that smug *** grin off his face. then we'll see how much confidence he has. entirely different outcome.

People are blaming the lack of pass rush. But the secondary needs to be able to cover receivers regardless. Somehow people have come to believe that Smith and Davis are elite caliber corners, when they rarely ever can stop passing plays. It's just that when the pass rush is there, QB's can't exploit the coverage.

Real NFL caliber CB's can cover their guys. Revis doesn't really on his team's pass rush to keep his receiver from making plays. Asomugha doesn't need that.

agrees. yeah I thought we'd have the TE coverage worked out by now. it's like a royal pain every year. Seemed like our LBs played matador defense on em tonight. sighs

Agreed on the Starks comment he seemed in the backfield more as the game wore on. What about Soldier on Wake he appeared to have his hands all over them I am not a real football jock but how close was that to holding in your opinion?

Agree 100%. A pass rush could have really changed this game, can't put it all on the secondary. To me the lack of pressure on Brady was the BIGGEST issue last night, you are right.

**** yeah blame the pass rush! Why because cornfed 3-4 de's aren't that important yet we collect them like classic cars. Koa Misi blows and JT is a 107 years old! Terrible ****ing terrible!
