No reason Patrick Cobbs should be our 3rd down back when we have a healthy Ricky and Ronnie. Both are better backs running blocking and catching. Doesnt make sense to me.

To showcase him to other teams so they can get a draft pick.

this is where lorenzo booker should be not COBBS.

Yeah, I found it odd that Cobbs was in in almost every 3rd down. Ronnie does have his thumb wrapped so that may affect his ability to catch the ball but that doesn't explain why Ricky isn't in there.

coach said he is good at protection. Ronnie whiffed big time and let a sack at least once.

Actually the play where i saw Ronnie whiff as you say, it was a PA play, they faked the handoff to Ronnie and the defender was not fooled. And who would be? Our running game was abandoned way to early. For the PA to work, you need a running game, or to at least keep trying to run it.

Cobbs played because they are the coaches and we are fans and do not see every practice. The Patriots really wanted to keep Cobbs and probably there is a reason why and we are learning it now. Maybe Ronnie needs more time to come around. Ronnie did look goood but he is suposed to still be on IR so lets not rush this thing. Ricky W did not look so well but lets wait until after Arizona before we get our feather tails so ruffled. We almost came back against a Jets team that spent huge bucks to win now with lots of high money talented FA pickups against a bunch of rookies and FA types. I wish we were still playing int he Orange Bowl we used to win these types of games there but Joe Robbie has been a bad move for us and the Miami fans are so fickle and don't support their teams like many other clubs up North. And yes I am a Miami fan.

PS yes if there is one flaw I find with Bill Parcells is his in ability to disguard smaller players who can play the game for bigger maybe more talented player who can not. Still I think we have a pretty good team. TE look good the WR will have to pick up the pace are hit the FA market and we need some backup OL and LB IMO. Interesting to see how well the seocndary did not play etc as they really were not tested last yearr to much. Not sure what to think there will be interested on some of the other posts there.
