nope.. stocker played poorly in preseason. He was benched after the Steelers oblitereated the right side of our Oline.

It's a shame because Vernon Carey was really impressing at LT, he doesn't seem to be 'dominating' or doing so well at RT.

I think Stockar was meant to start, but he has not lived up to expectation.

The Carey thing has been the worst outcome of that situation. He looked really good at LT in the preseason. I think they decided he would do better at RT than D-Mac so they chose to go that way. It will be interesting to see what happens this week. With the d line that's coming to town, our guys need to have a huge game!

This is a mystery to me, although I thought Carey was doing well at LT. As I recall reading somewhere, McDougle is strictly a RT and can't do the LT job, so if they feel Carey is a better RT, then that's that. I think Carey is a better option at LT, but that is my opinion, not HH's or Sabans so I guess I get outvoted there...

I think Stockar and Carey are about equal at the RT spot. Carey has more upside so that's where he is. They must have felt that Big Mac was a better option than Carey at LT.

Stockar really struggled. Carey at LT was a bright spot of preseason, but Stockar really disappointed. I think it's the case that they felt better with D-Mac at LT and Vernon at RT, than Vernon at LT and Stockar at RT.

Stockar was horrible in preseason.

He was drawing alot of penalties on top of playing below average. I think the demotion woke him up because Saban has stated that he deserves more playing time. I really counted on him to come in and be a fine RT. I still hope it works out for him.
