I'm not saying Mia is a SB team after one win, but the media is going ape s--t at how unbelievable a win this was -- mainly because most thought they would win no more than 5 games. But why?
This is a team that lost 12 games last year -- but 8 of those or so were within one score.
Lets say, for the sake of argument, Mia wins just 2 of those games this year, well you're up to 6 wins now.
Just the fact that wanny is gone is worth 5 wins, IMO. But lets just add two more to be modest. Gus is no Montana, but I say he's at least an extra win or two better than the crap we had starting last year. So now we're hypothetically up to 9 wins and scrapping for a playoff spot.
AND I havn't even taken into account Ricky coming back, a stud RB prospect, a trio (foursome if you count welker) of dangerous WR under a proven O-Co; and a Oline that won't be looking like KCs any time soon, but has NOWHERE to go but up under the leadership of HH.
Tom Jackson and Berman were right on Primetime: The "fins will be a force to be reckoned with." Got that F'n right. Except, unlike the whole ESPN staff, most of us haven't spent the entire off-season ridiculing them and are changing our minds via the box score.
Beating the s--t out of Denver? No I didn't call it (I predicted a very close win), But I'm not one bit surprised either.

Personally I think the analyst take to much from what happend in last year. If a team did good last year then they are going to be even better this next year. If they did poor last year they will suck in the media eyes until they prove them wrong. Since most in the media dont pay close enough attention to teams like the fins they miss all the small things that made us better so far. Were as when they have their heads up the butts of teams like the pats, everytime one of them gains 10 yards they are an unbelievable player.

They need to realize this team is 100% different than last year. We have amazing talent on this team. We now have a coaching staff that knows how to harness the talent we have and use it. If we keep winning like this the media will once again be saying "The Miami Dolphins are once again proving why they are one of the most solid teams in all professional sports....."

Go Fins.

yeah really, people really should give us more credit. i mean last season was our first losing season in a LONG time. last year we were just devastated by the ricky loss and we had like 26 injuires...

The COLTS only won 1 PREseason game i belive, and theyre blowin out the Ravens 24-0

and the DONKEYS went undefeated

I said the other day don't be surprised if we win. We have a pretty good team so long as Gus holds it together. I wouldn't be surprised if we beat the Jets next week either with the play of our D & all of our weapons on offense.

we are a superbowl team imo. Ive been saying that since early july. We have great coaches, a solid defense, and great WRS,RBs,TE. If Frerotte can keep playing good i think we will be good. It's a surprise because to the NFL because they just look at last years record. Literally, half of our team was injuried. We werent even that BAD of a team until Ricky retired. That was how we lost so many games, he was the gameplan, and we didnt have time to change it. We had no HB. Wannstedt had no idea what he was doing, switching starting QBs every week. It was an embarassment. Everyone is healthy now, Ricky is coming back week 6. We are 1-0. We are looking great. Superbowl isnt out of the qeustion.

exactly. The mainstream sports media only lives in the moment. That's fine. i don't expect much more. But anybody that knows anything about this game could see that Mia had loads more talent than the bottom feeding teams it was lumped with last year like SF, Cle and chi. That, and the significant changes we made at coaching, plus even a marginally better running game, makes it clear that Mia is not the same team on paper. that should have been obvious to the so-called experts even before the first snap.
The sad part is that while I expect that from the national media, there's a whole bunch of Mia-based journalists that basically predicted the same type of season despite the fact they have a front row seat of this team and the changes saban has implemented

I haven't actually seen much news on the dolphin game. It is all on the Saints winning.

Ditto. They're making too much of that game.

I think our win & the Niners win was more noteworthy.

lots of people lost their paycheck this weekend, betting. what a topsy-turvy league we love to watch.
