I'm not saying Mia is a SB team after one win, but the media is going ape s--t at how unbelievable a win this was -- mainly because most thought they would win no more than 5 games. But why?
This is a team that lost 12 games last year -- but 8 of those or so were within one score.
Lets say, for the sake of argument, Mia wins just 2 of those games this year, well you're up to 6 wins now.
Just the fact that wanny is gone is worth 5 wins, IMO. But lets just add two more to be modest. Gus is no Montana, but I say he's at least an extra win or two better than the crap we had starting last year. So now we're hypothetically up to 9 wins and scrapping for a playoff spot.
AND I havn't even taken into account Ricky coming back, a stud RB prospect, a trio (foursome if you count welker) of dangerous WR under a proven O-Co; and a Oline that won't be looking like KCs any time soon, but has NOWHERE to go but up under the leadership of HH.
Tom Jackson and Berman were right on Primetime: The "fins will be a force to be reckoned with." Got that F'n right. Except, unlike the whole ESPN staff, most of us haven't spent the entire off-season ridiculing them and are changing our minds via the box score.
Beating the s--t out of Denver? No I didn't call it (I predicted a very close win), But I'm not one bit surprised either.
