Why Is Vickerson Getting No Love?

When people mention the future of our D-line, they usually mention Wright, JT, and even Ngata, who's still playing in college. Why have people forgotten Kevin Vickerson? He actually was listed as an NT at Michigan State. I know he's injured, but he'll be back next year. I remember Kevin Carter saying this about Vickerson:

...I think they're really hard on Kevin because Kevin has all the attributes. Kevin is bigger than me, stronger than me. The guy's a monster, and he just doesn't know it.

Carter went on to say "...I think you can't really compare Manny, just as a disservice to Kevin Vickerson...he hasn't . . . thrown up or passed out, not finish practice or done some of the things that have happened to Manny."

I'm not trying to dis Wright. I'm just saying don't forget Vickerson. Also, I do not think DT/NT is a top 5 priority during the offeason.
 
Your are right. Vickerson does go untalked about a lot. I will admit that even myself forgets about him from time to time. He was doing very well in the Preseason before the injury, and I hope he makes a full recovery. I think he potentially has a very good pro career in front of him.

I haven't forgotten about him at all.I think he's gonna be a DE in the future tho I know he can play inside too.

That's a bad guess...if he didn't fit Saban's D then why did he draft him? He just got hurt, that's all.I think Saban likes the fact that he can play END or inside.On a 3-4 I see him as a DE and on a 4-3 he'd play inside.

hes forgotton because he's out for the year and everyone was wondering when wright would play

kevin did show a lot of promise and sure he will be in the mix next year

he gets no love because he hasnt played yet

And If I remember they put him on IR because it was diagnosed at first a torn ligaments and later found out to only be a strain so he is already 100%... so we can count on him being healthy at least :)

if thats true thats a terrible mistake by the training staff to not identify the real injury

No thats McMichael who hits his wife and we still give him love.... Id say lol but i dont find it very funny lol

well thats what the news says anyway
