I'm actually asking for an explanation.

I don't know enough about evaluation to explain why, but I saw this dude in the Louisville and LSU games and he was a G. Calm, collected and making perfect passes all over the field.

So why is he below the likes of Joe Flacco and Chad Henne?

Not saying he shouldn't be, just want to know why.

I personally hope we take him at the end of the 2nd round.

HE disintegrated the last half of his senior season.
What happen?

Mental? Offensive game planning? Defensive game planning?

Woodson had his chance to challege Ryan and Brohm as the top QB in this draft during Senior Bowl week and he failed miserably. He was slow in his drops. He has a slow throwing delivery. His mechanics were bad. Overall his week at the Senior Bowl was a disappointment as he raised more questions than he answered. Not working out at the Combine because of a hamstring injury didn't help his case.

He is now working on his mechanics at the Wide World of Sport facility in Orlando and hopes to show what he can do at his pro day.

really the ultimate reason hes so far down the list is his poor senior bowl. his red flags are his wind up release, his relying too much on his arm leading to picks and that he takes far too many sacks.

Maybe it is because he plays for Kentucky?

He has horrible delivery, and poor footwork.

Thats like looking to buy a car and saying " well hes a nice car, but Id have to re-do the interior and put nicer wheels on it "

Suffice to say, you don't move a first rounder on a guy like that

If it is his throwing motion and footwork, aren't those things easily dealt with?

I see why his delivery brings pause, but like Phillip Rivers, Woodson is 6'5. I have a hard time believing he gets a lot of balls knocked down.

If it's the time it takes for him to wind up and release, he can be taught to curtail that issue.

Footwork can be worked on too.

I really believe in this kid. I guess he's not first overall worthy, though I don't really believe any of the kids this year are, I think he will be successful in this league.

I think he's a franchise quarterback.

Kentucky has nothing. Someone on this board has a great quote from Bill Walsh that says Joe Montana was a product of his system, but that Dan Marino was the system.

Andre Woodson was the system in Kentucky. He single handedly beat the best team in the country last year.

As a side note, I loved his tight end and I think he ran in the 4.5s.

Every time I watched Andre Woodson and the Wildcats play this year, I saw the same exact thing. He is incapable of handling pressure, much less escaping it. Any time the protection broke down, Woodson crumbled and folded like a lawn chair. His inaccuracy in the Senior Bowl just made things worse, Woodson is a late 2nd rounder at best.

reason

joe flacco has da strongest arm in the draft chad henne plays for michigan where tom brady played andre is slow and iz not consistant frum game 2 game

every thing is rite andre will b a gud qb on the next level but in my eyes he is just 2 slow he has a strong arm but it takes him 2 long 2 read the coverage no mobility
