Why isn't Philbin a HC-candidate for McKenzie???

New Raiders G.M. Reggie McKenzie is looking for the next Raiders head-coach.
Two of the candidates are
Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers and Packers assistant head coach/linebackers coach Winston Moss.
But NOT Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin!
As an ex-member of the Packers, Reggie Mc Kenzie knows all the Packers coaches very well.
So there should be the question in the Miami headquarter:
Why isn't Philbin a HC-candidate for McKenzie???

.

Maybe McKenzie is bringing in his friends for a big payday like that fat *** parcells did.

When we were discussing Brian Billick, another poster asked if it gave me pause that no other team had interviewed Billick. I had to agree that it did.

This is another situation where I have to wonder why McKenzie is not interested in this guy. I can understand if he just wanted a defensive coach (in which case the rumored interest in Moss and Capers makes perfect sense), but Marty Morhinweg? The guy who took the wind in overtime and was a total failure in Detroit? I don't know about that.

So there should be the question in the Miami headquarter:
Why isn't Philbin a HC-candidate for McKenzie???

I think that is a great question! Where is the fly on the wall when you need him. Also why didn't Philbin call plays in GB? Just curious what the real reason is.

Green Bay Packers assistant head coach Winston Moss said Monday, Jan. 16, that he is willing to listen to Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie if he is interested in him for the team's head coaching vacancy. "If the Raiders were to call and ask, I'll be ready to speak with them," Moss said. "But nothing's changed from last week. I feel good where I'm at. If there's an opportunity that comes up in the future, we'll probably cross that bridge at that time. But at this present time, right now, not a lot to talk about."

Mike Tice? Are you kidding me? Okay, it's entirely possible that McKenzie is just a moron.

I believe this is a reasonable question (regarding McKenzie and his interviews).

I thought I had seen that the Raiders wanted to talk to Philbin. If not, I would definitely wonder why a guy from Green Bay, who would know that organization and coaching staff inside and out, wouldn't want to interview Philbin. That's a red flag for me.

It seems the Raiders want to talk to everyone from Mike Tice to Todd Bowles so who knows what they are up to.

It looked like the Raiders were finally turning the corner the last two years & now this...

Davis' kid makes Ross look good he is so lost. I didn't think anyone could make Ross look like a competent NFL owner.

Just look at who they are granting interviews to.

The Oakland Raiders have asked & received permission to interview Joe Philbin.

Could be Philbin is not interested in interviewing for the Raiders HC position. Or, he's already locked in with Miami and the details are being worked out.

Who the hell knows?
