Do the Packers assistant coaches sign some agreement that they won't raid the Packers coaching staff if they were to get a head gig somewhere??!! I don't get it.

There is an understanding in GB if you get a promotion that you leave the rest of the staff alone.

i think the packers is a premiere enough organization that they aren't going to stand in the way of anyone on their staff getting a promotion. however, there is an understanding that staffers who leave will not poach other coaches off the staff. what that means to me, is that if you want one of their coaches for the same position they hold now, forget about it. if you are offering them a promotion, they won't like it, but they won't stand in their way.

Promotions - yes. Lateral move - no.

Screw that crap. If you want a guy that can bolster your team you go after him. Period.
You sound like George pushing kids and grand mas out the way to get out of the fire first...

The NFL is a fricken business. All that matters is wins and losses. It's a dog eat dog league. The NFL is NOT Sunday School or tiddly winks.

i still see if we can grab clemets, but looks like we are going to get sherman

plus all packers assistants are under contract. You just can't take anyone you want. Unless its a step up, you can't touch them. And even that the Packers could block. It's up to them.

Doesn't matter if we get them or not. Sherman is going to have some people he will bring along, Coyle is going to have his own staff that he will bring along, and it will be the Dolphins' coaching staff. Not the ex Cowboy staff or the ex Packer staff. Philbin is going to create his own unique staff.
