Why keep Darkwa over ____________ is a question that could be asked about numerous players we cut or didn't pick up.

I love Landry but he's not a returner. He wasn't in college and shouldn't be in NFL. He's screwed up a number of times and can't have a person with no awareness lose yardage and/or not keep ball security.
that's fine but there is ZERO reason to think that Thigpen would have made a difference

He absolutely would have. It might have no changed the final result of the game but would have made a difference.
Some examples might be nice
Thigpen did return a punt for a TD versus the Bills two years ago. Either way, I would say competence in the return game.
I'm not heartbroken Thigpen isn't here. It was obvious he wasn't going to be retained after being switched to receiver. But after seeing the Dolphins roster construction, I was left scratching my head as to how Thigpen couldn't make a roster that had room for two undrafted RB's, and also didn't have room for Don Jones.
i suppose that Fulton Walker would have made a difference also...
