He has no shoulder problem to worry about and he could practice with a knee brace alot earlier then brees, isnt he a better option if the vikings let him go

um NO, he wont be able to play till atleast mid season, b/c of his knee injury, and brees is ahead of schedule rehabbing neway

yea deff not brees is expected to be ready on opening day and his shoulder is much less of a concern than culpeppers knee

dont think so, reports have culpepper running already, and a shoulder is worse for a QB then a knee, they do throw the ball, that injury has shortened brees career to about three or so more years

IIRC, Culpepper screwed up a knee just about as badly as it can be screwed up. Didn't he tear 3 of the 4 ligaments?

Wait, was that Tice who did that? They both tore out a knee...

Too expensive... Too much injury uncertainty...

Why no Volek? Cheap, productive, good arm, smart, fiery, better than Gus.

There is something about Culpepper that turns people off. He fumbles too much for one thing. And to me he just looks awkward out there running around. I just dont like him.

He is a backup QB, just like Gus. We need Brees, and maybe draft someone.

I would prefer Culpepper over Brees (although either would be a godsend)...

Pep fits our system better... and like you said... he doesnt have any issues with his throwing shoulder.

Culpepper's knee will be fine. McGahee had a similar injury... and look what he can do on his knee now. Culpepper wont have to do near the amount of things running that McGahee is required to do...

I had not seen that Doc, none the less, Duante should not take a single game speed snap this year. He WILL, because he is to pricey not to. This guy is HUGH and I cannot help but worry that he will be sent into the fray way to soon, and his knee won't be able to properly heal.

he does fumble, he has the most of any QB, no doubt, you guys just have to realize that my experience with Brees's type of injuries is not a good one, I dont care if he is a professional athlete and his doctor was GOD himself, that injury will effect his arm mechanics eventually, three years is about all you will get from him, so if that is ok sign him and draft a young guy right away

i just worry about the shoulder way more then the knee at that postion

Yeah i agree with that, i have yet to see what he can do after his rehab but the injury he had will usually take about a year or two to heal properly.
