We all know we need a solid quarterback now and for the future. Nick saban obviously knows this to be true and plans to adress it as soon as he can. Which brings me to just this, why not shawn king? I thought he had lots of potential, he's not old, never had any serious injuries and the funny thing is that he's not with any team this year. I think he could be a good-great quarterback in the right system (ours) , we'd save a ton of cap space and avoid spending a draft pick for one and using it on other, more pressed positions. So what do you guy's think?

I brought this up after seeing King clubbing at Mai Tai's in tampa one night... I didnt finally understand the "not able to see over the OL" argument... because I"m 6'3" and no way he could see over a line of people taller than me in like a 3 step drop i dont think lol...

i think he's 6'1", which is taller than brees and vick.

anyway, the bucs tried him out a week or two ago after Brian got hurt. gruden didnt want him; not even as 3rd string. what does that tell you?

I can 99% tell you there is no way in hell he is really 6'1"....

Shaun King sucks - are you kidding me?? Where do some people come up with these ideas? This guy cannot even make any squad as a 3rd stringer and you might want him as a starter? Good-great in the right system - maybe if it was against high schoolers. Not to be mean but c'mon folks - there is no QB still sitting in their house without a job right now that will help this team this year. Our only hope for next year IMO is to pick up an up and coming 2nd string guy off a team or draft a young guy and pray. The only wild shot I see is if Houston was to be in a draft position to get Leinhart, then would they be open to trading Carr. Probably never happen but that would be the best case. Rivers IMO will be a bust!
