why not Jim Bates??

I liked him too and there's a guy I think that loves the Dolphins and especially Jason Taylor and Zach. I dont know if he could put an offense together but I do know he wouldnt bolt this team at the first sign of a better offer

Im not sure hed want to come back atm. The team dumped him rather uncermoniously the first time, why would he want to come back?

Id also rather go for an offensive coach. I have confidence in Capers to keep our defense going, but DAMN we need some offense minds in there. This was just a painful season watching the offense, both coaches and players.

I liked him too but he has been contacted by the Cards and we still have a head coach

he was a good coordinator of a defense we dont even run anymore...he can't be our head coach..

Jim Bates will never be a part of the Dolphins organization again.

If I was advising Huzienga I would tell him to give Capers the job but only a three year deal and if after next year we dont like the direction we make a huge push for Tennessee's Jeff Fisher. If we get him we eat CApers remaining two years. His contract is up after 2007 and there's no way anyone can tell me that being coach of the Dolphins isnt a more glamorous position thean the coach of the Titans. Fisher is arguably the best or top three coaches in the NFL and yet nobody knows who the guy is unless they're football nuts. If he comes to Miami he has a chance of establishing himself as one of the all time greats

um...i could...easily...

we played pretty well under him as our HC when he took over those few games after Wanny resigned.

The best thing I liked about Bates is he got our team to play full tilt for him. This team has a tendency to take a few weeks off every year. I dont think you can do that if you play for Bates

It's playing hindsight now but getting Pioli to gm and keeping Bates as HC would have been our best move.

I dont agree with you on the QB we need to draft, but I do here lol

Titans have some good (Vince) Young talent and did well this year. The Phins will, sadly enough, be a project. Still, I would love to get him if it was possible

If we are going defensive coach we might as well just promote Capers, but I would much rather leave him to coach the D and get an offensive Guru in here as HC. And not MM, fire his sorry azz NOW wayne!!
