I keep seeing people say they are glad for the change, it's a breath of fresh air, but that mid season is too late to make a change that matters this year. But why? Look at the 2014 dolphins. With just a little more fire could they have beat the packers? The lions? The Broncos? That alone would have probably meant we were a playoff team!

Next question, do we still believe that this team is better than last year's? Then again... Why can't we make a push THIS year?

We are 1-3. As of now, there's a tie for 6th best team in the afc between the bills, steelers, raiders, and chargers at 2-2. Do people really think being 1 game behind that bunch means this season is too far gone??

Lastly, what is so hard about our remaining schedule? Away games: Titans, pats, bills, Eagles, jets, Chargers. Home games: Texans, Cowboys, Ravens, Giants, Colts, pats (in week 17 with #1 probably locked up).

Is there a single game on there besides @pats on prime time that you wouldn't think the 2014 dolphins could win? I don't think so. So why not the 2015 dolphins?

Couldn't a little fire and culture change be enough to still pull it off?

I don't see how anyone can say that mid-season change is too late when we've only played 4 games??

In theory sure. But until you actually see signs of elevated/inspired play, nobody is going to get on that hope train.

We just dont want to get our hopes up. Been through that show enough times. But you are correct, the season is far from over and there is a lot of parity in that wildcard fight.

Well, if we beat Tennessee and Houston, both possible, then we'd be 3-3 and have a primetime showdown with NE for a chance to return to a little relevance. Of course they'll probably lose 50-0 but who knows?

If this team plays hard and smart, we should have a shot in every game. Winning 8 out of 12 would give us 9 wins and a playoff berth.
The season is not over.

I get it, we have all been burned. Once again we got our hopes up and the team looks awful. People are tired of hoping... That's what the offseason is for!

The last 2 weeks I didn't even care. I checked out after the Jags game. I laughed yesterday... Throughout the whole game. In years past I would get pissed because the team sucked. But I wasn't even mad these last 2 weeks. I think mainly because I don't think the team sucks like they have in the past when the season is going to crap.

I laughed because I seriously can't explain why they look so terrible. It just doesn't make sense to me. I honestly don't think they are as bad as they have looked. Could they really have regressed as much as it appears?

I'm just hoping they can turn it around. Because this season is far from over with the position that we are in. This isn't a 2-8, talent deprived team that you usually see an interim head coach take control of.

of course the season is not over with but we are currently 1-3 (we are in a huge hole) not liking our odds one bit. thank GOD for the bye week to work a bunch of crap out. I am some what confident in the Titans and Texans games but again, we have already blown games so far(one against the awful Jaguars) . I just hope Coach Campbell makes us a lot more competitive for now

Being 1 game back is a huge hole? The only thing that makes it close to a huge hole is 2 home losses to division opponents. That WILL be tough to overcome. My main point is that it's not a lost cause like some people seem to think.

Even yesterday we were in the red zone in the 4th quarter and almost made it a 6 point game. This team can win games. And you never know what a little extra motivation might do.

How many losses in a row does it take for you to figure out that this team is crap? It wasn't enough for Buffalo and the Jets to destroy them, NE has to as well in order for you to get it? This team is now 0-3 in the conference and 0-2 in the division. How many tiebreakers do you think they're winning at the end of the season, assuming they're even remotely in contention?

But I guess it's easier to believe that this team is actually good-- all appearances to the contrary notwithstanding-- than it is to accept the fact that 2015 is another wasted year tossed on the pile.

Yea, and all hope was lost after week 3 last year when we were 1-2. Because we lost 2 conference games after we got lucky with a Moreno win against NE. Yea, that's right, the sky was falling then too. Until we were in the drivers seat for a playoff spot...

Even if he fixes the Defense and gets the O-line to play cohesively...

Ryan has not shown that he can get it done.

How many 3 yard passes does it take to win a Super Bowl? :d-day:

Well if your definition of a successful season is 8-8 and missing the playoffs at the end, then you should lobby for Philbin to get his job back. That was his specialty.

Seriously, if you think 2014 was a good season, then by all means, keep reaching for that star. Of course, this team is going to have a problem getting over even that super-low bar.
