For him, it was the realization that at the very moment and in the very outing in which everything had finally clicked in his head, he was knocked out for the remainder of the year.

That’s right, the game had just slowed down for Tannehill right then -- after five seasons, two coaches, and three offensive coordinators.

And now there was nothing the quarterback could do to prove how far and fast he could take off once the clouds of uncertainty had lifted.

Great article by Armando.

I was starting to think everybody forgot he was on the team

He should be much improved in year 2 under Gase. As long as he doesn't play scared with that injury. Culpepper never got over his mentally

Its too bad adam gase didnt get here two years earlier...we wouldnt have wasted 2 years of qb development

At any rate i have no doubts tannehill will be better in year 2 under gase...its time to start dropping those 100 plus qbrs yearly i envisioned 3 years ago even

And time for the questioning of the qb to take a freaking hike...hes the best player on that offense and probably the team

now just do whats been a given and pick up the rest of that bargain contract of his...

Hoping the injury doesn't hold him back. I think he finally has the coach he needs to reach his ceiling.

Can Tannenhill put the injury behind him and play loose, is the million dollar question. Based on how he's gotten the hell beat out of him since we drafted him, we know he's tough. The thing that worries me, is if the knee is not 100% and he can't do the things physically he once did. I'd hate to see him as just a drop back passer who's not able to run. That's not him

Now, more than ever, we need to make sure our OL protects him.

Fixing our defense is a priority, but finding two decent guards to complete our OL is also a crucial task this offseason.

Dude is like 11-4 under every coach we have had when he has his starting O-Line in. Yes he was better under Gase, but it can't be stated enough how our below average O-Line has been pathetically bad when the likes of Pouncey, Albert, and James are out! I mean at one point last year we had Billy Turner at LT. The kid has shown he can win with even a resemblance of an average O-Line.

If Alex Smith can develop into a serviceable QB that can be a part of a consistent playoff appearing team so can Ryan as he enters his sixth year. And Ryan physically is much more gifted, so if he can get there I think he can finish.
