Why the hate? Did you notice its PREseason?

It's a preseason game, chill out, jesus. If I remember correct, Carolina won ALL their preseason games and look how good they did, 7-9. And the fact that I didn't see any 3-4 alignments and/or longer starter playing time, Saban really doesn't care if we won or lost this game.

To me, it's basically a scrimmage to him, the majority of you all are taking this way out of proportion..just chill out, when the season starts, then you can say people suck/give up too many yards/needs to get cut when it actually COUNTS! Preseason is a big evaluation, wins don't mean anything, please remember that...

We have to build off the positives tonight, and correct our mistakes. Things will get better, I am confident of that!

I understand this, but alot of people on this board are basically saying "Oooo we suck", "This looks just like last year so that must mean were going to play like this the whole damn season with 2nd and 3rd stringers", blah blah blah!

It's not the end of the world, and the Dolphins won't play with 3rd stringers 70% of a game...
 
The hate is coming from a select few fans who think the sky is falling because we lost a damn scrimmage.

This game taught me almost nothing...exactly like I thought it would...

It did remind me of a few things though:

Kevin Carter is good

Donald Lee is not

Either is Reggie Howard

The O-line will be just fine...

Lamar Gordon better learn the art of pass blocking and picking up blitzes or he is a goner...

Derrius Thompson drops passes...

So does Donald Lee...
 
I agree. But your post will fall on deaf ears. We were suppose to beat Chicago 60-0 tonight. Since we didn't, we suck and we'll pick top 5 next season.
 
I thought the team did well for the first game under a new coach.

The secondary needs a lot of work, and the run blocking wasn't the best, but it could have a been a LOT worse. Had a #4 QB not been in the game, we probably would have won. That should tell you something right there.

Yea, ...shouldnt there be a "someone list the top ten potential pro players for next year" thread coming soon?
 
i bet on the game unfortunley, but oh well! Im happy we got out of it with no serious injuries!

But, it was "top 5." Not top 10.

jesus...I dont see why we even play the season...just use the preseason as indication of our record. 0-4 = 0-16 , 1-3 = 3-12, 2-4 = 6-8, 3-4 = 9-7 , 4-0 = 16-0 .... theres no real need to even play the regular season. I mean god all mighty, our 2nd, and 3rd team defense gave up 300 yards, signs are looking towards bad :rolleyes: .

I agree with you, but I wouldn't use Carolina as an example. They had an abnormal slew of injuries, particularly at the RB position that 7-9 and really putting it together near the end of the season was a good year.
 
you guys all need to calm down. why can we not talk about the game? you "holier-than-thou" types are saying that we cannot talk about this game because its a pre-season game. who cares what game it is? even if it was a scrimmage, i'd still want to talk about it.

regardless of whether or not it means anything, i want to talk about it.... doesn't mean i think the season is over.

Theres a difference. Some dont realize it is preseason and think that even though this is just the first game IN THE PRESEASON, the season is already over.

It's not talking about it that we're trying to stop, it's the overreacting idiots asking who the top 5 players in the draft next year are because they think we'll be there due to how we played tonight.
