:sidelol:

Personally, I don't hate so much, but it does seem that many people look to fight, disagree and generally make polarizing statements often. I wonder if the impersonal aspect of the internet adds to it, because you are freer to act on anger and ego than in real life.

I think it's a few things. 1st, most of us are passionate about the Phins. 2nd, we are angry because we have sucked so long. 3rd everyone has strong oppinions on what we need to do to get better and are right in our minds until proven wrong on multiple occassions he he. The above post is correct too, half the people wouldn't talk so much smack if the person was right in front of them. I would, but I am not 5'6 a buck 40 wet, with a 300 pound temper.

67Stang makes a good point. It's easy to be a computer tough guy.

Amen to that, but I believe it's probably more like 75% of all the serial smack-talkers.

STOP THE HATE...........We all love the fins.......... Save the hate for the Bills, Jets, and Pats.............

Well, I think the biggest reason is that there are some people that feel the need to hate on MIAMI DOLPHIN players because they weren't instant all-stars in this league. Then there are others that defend our guys and preaching patience with the young talent. (example: see Ginn and Beck - since they didn't produce in their first year or first 4 games....they're busts.....)

What I am wondering:

Are the impatient people that are bashing young talent for not stepping up right away, the same ones that are telling others to be patient with the turnaround of the franchise?

As 67stang implied - At 5'10'' and 180 lbs it has always been easy to see the other person's point of view when it is being expressed face to face. But now at 62 years of age it has become even easier.
The internet takes that intimidation away and makes some of us more bold than we would be in person. As a public school teacher at the high school and university level I learned early to hold my temper and deal with conflict in more diplomatic ways. I try to transfer that philosophy to my message board disagreements.

People like to argue. It's fun. How enjoyable would Finheaven be if everyday we came on and were like "oh yes the Dolphins are so talented" and everyone agreed. There would be no point. Debating is good stuff.

why does every one on this site hate eachother??
I've wondered this also, it's like when we lose it would be so nice to have a place to go to feel better about the team. Instead I stay away from here because it ends up making me feel worse. Even now that we are playing better, there are still a lot of people that want to harp on the negative. I wish there was more of a feeling of support here cause we all hurt when the team is doing bad. And I for one am tired of so many people needing to tell me not to get excited for Ted Ginn or Jason Allen cause it's only one game. So what, why can't we enjoy that one game and leave it at that.

A little debating is good, but too much of anything gets old.
