Looking back at the past 8 games there is one constant that I've noticed..... R. Tannehill Playes great when he has great pass protection, and terrible when he doesn't. In order for us to be a true contender, this HAS TO CHANGE! We'll need him to be Great when he has good protection and Good when he doesn't. For example, Aaron Rodgers didn't have a great game against us and our pass rush. But he had a good game. The ability to extend plays, avoid sacks and make plays when the oline isn't playing well will be Key to making a playoff run, and doing anything once there. It will also tell us if we have our franchise QB or if we need to address the position in the offseason. The next 3 games we face 2 of the best d-lines in the league in Detroit and Buffalo, and Denver has a good d-line and great pass rushing LB's. The only remaining question about our QB is... can he produce when playing a great d-line.... We will find out in the NEXT 2 WEEKS!!! FINS UP.

Detroit will be tough. Suh against our interior line scares me. Hoping for bad Stafford but even with bad Stafford making bad Stafford throws, CJ still can reel them in. Probably the best starting WR duo in the league.

If there are two games that we can lose from here on out it is the Lions and Viks. As for the OP I have to say that there are very few if any QBs that aren't affected by great DLs. Just look at how hot Rivers was coming in, but as our line continued to dominate he had a terrible day, one of the worst of his career. There are maybe one or two QBs in the league that can but up big numbers vs good Ds. Brady did it yesterday, but it doesn't happen often.

Ryan will not have a great day vs the lions and if we can't run the game I doubt we will score over 17 unless it is from the defense or STs. We are heading in the right direction but we are not the class of the league yet by any stretch of the imagination. It is fun to watch the growth however.

Again every game is huge from here on, they only get bigger and more important and we need to win win win until there is nothing else to win.

Suh is a dirty ass football player that tries to bully OGs...that **** aint happening to Pouncey or Satele

As far as Detriot's offense...**** Stafford...inconsistent as Cutler....dude is due to struggle...

The lions game is one where I feel Sturgis will be a liability. I hope not.

Should be interesting we'll learn more about this team over that 5 da stretch. If we get after Stafford there is a good chance we can force him into mistakes. I know nothing about their oline, how are the matchups? The Bills game is a must have. Much like I was saying about SD Thursday night on the road should be a tough spot for Buffalo, NO EXCUSES we should be able to win.

Actually the Detroit game is not that big. It would be nice to win it, but it does not kill us to lose that one.

The Buffalo game is HUGE. We need to beat the Bills in order to put ourselves in position to lock up at least 2nd place in the division. Losing that tiebreak to Buffalo and falling a game or two behind them in the standings would be brutal, whereas beating them and putting the tiebreak in our column as well as being a game up on them would be NICE.

Beating Buffalo is pretty much paramount to our playoff hopes.

In WC tiebreakers, all tiebreaks are broken within the division before going into tiebreaks with teams outside of the division. In other words, it is very very difficult to finish 3rd in your division and make the playoffs. That only happens when 3 teams from one division qualify. That simply will not happen this season. We need to at least finish 2nd in the East to get into the playoffs. It would be very difficult to finish 2nd in the division should we lose to the Bills again.

Every game is huge, especially on this MBoard.

The Phins win and they are Super Bowl bound and when they lose they will never win another game, ever.

The biggest difference I saw from RT was his willingness to get out of the pocket. Especially after read one and two were not there. This is huge for a QB. If we can start to create once the play breaks down it will add another dimension to the O. In the past RT took the snap and held in the same place in the pocket quite often. Rushers will have to account for his movement and it will be easier to protect him due to this. Teams may even have to deploy a spy opening up more room in coverage. Hopefully not a 1 game occurrence.

I'm just not sold on Detroit. Yes, they have a stout DL, but with Fairley out its a bit more manageable. But I don't trust Stafford or a Caldwell coached team. I think they are a bit of fools gold right now and I think the Dolphins have a good shot of knocking them down this week coming off this performance.

That was the most encouraging aspects of this game. One of the most frustrating things about RT over the years was his inability to use his athleticism to escape pressure and create plays when the initial play broke down. He finally showed us he is capable of that yesterday... If he can keep that up, we can go places.
