The reason this team is not 2-1 is simple. Poor right side o-line play, fumbles & missed & blocked field goals. If carpenter made the two field goals against texans, thomas would not have fumbled and o-line blocked better then henne would not have thrown the pick when his arm was hit. in the browns game if carpenter made the 51 yard fg and bush fumbled at the 19 then we could have possibly been up 14-0 at least 10-0. henne was sacked 5 times.

This team should be 2-1 right now. the players are killing themselves. the reason this team is losing has nothing to do with tony sparano. the play calling needs to be more creative in the redone and get bush more involved but sparano is not missing field goals, fumbling balls and creating stupid penalties. the only thing personnel wise that needs to happen is colombo needs to be released and garner needs to start at rt. fasano needs to be involved in the redzone.

this is a good team they are killing themselves. they probably won't make the playoffs but this team will get better much better if they can get this first win.

Agreed but Sporano mismanages games and makes ineffective half time adjustments. Playing for a fieldgoal to go up by 6 when aTD can beat u is just poor game management. He costs the team at least 3 games a season and that's not acceptable!

The problem with your argument is bad teams make those kinds of mistakes.

That's why they're bad teams.

Get used to a lot more mistakes as the season goes on. Another thing you have to consider is this team doesn't have many "instinctual" players. They have some good "athletes" in some spots , however it's coupled with poor instincts.

And as a result, mistakes ensue as these players are going against other teams that have better instinctual players.. IE- do you really believe that anyone in Miami's secondary has the innate quality of having tremendous instincts ? I don't. On the linebackers Koa Misi doesn't have it, others on defense don't have it either.. and then you have quite a few players on offense who don't have it as well (to go along with a guys like Incognito who can;t pull to save his life, Carey has no instincts as a guard, Bush who has terrible instincts and poor vision between the tackles, and stiffs like Colombo etc)

There's not many guys on this team that can think very fast on their feet with natural football instincts, or switch up immediately when a play starts in a way that they didnt expect when another team imposes this (and this starts at the QB position as Henne is not the type of QB that makes other players around him better that you need). They can't improvise on a dime because of having poor instincts.

Sometimes you have to scratch your head and ask yourself what was Brandon Marshall thinking on that play ??!! Answer is poor instincts. And this guy is supposed to be Miami's best offensive skill player.

And there you have it.

The bottom line is the talent on this team is not as good as some people thought.
