Look you guys this is how it is.. We want the jaguars to win tonight plain and simple. Not only will it knock the colts off but jax loosing does not help us in the least as we still need baltimore to lose one. If they lose they need SOOOOO much help as they would need to win their last 2 AND baltimore to lose to an afc team AND jets lose a game AND hope miami dosent go 2-1. They are done if they lose. We dont want them to think they are done heading into new england. We want them stoked to play new england not bummed and not give a sh*t.

I kind of see your point but I think they lose in NE regardless so I hope they lose tonight

when are you guys going to realize that teams don't quit because they think they're out of contention

not to mention the fact that losing tonight wouldn't take them out of contention

This sounds just like more media BS I was talking about in that Ricky thread.

You really believe that if the Jags lose tonight they are just going to roll over and play ****ing dead for the Patriots next week? Get ****ing real. If anything it might make them hungrier, but I would tend to believe they are going to try just as hard to win next week as they would if they win or lose this week. Probably will try as hard as they try in every other ****ing game they have played so far this season..............their best. They will give it their best shot.

Reality is it dosent really matter who wins this game tonight so if you want to root for the Jags for the sake of the undefeated season I could see that.

Another reality is that even with 10 days to prepare, the Jags arent going to beat NE in that stadium where the pats havent lost all year long. They are good in that stadium.

One thing you must consider though, is that if the Colts lose tonight, while of course whoever is in the game for them next week will try their best, they may not play Manning the whole game or other starters should they lose tonight. I think despite what the media is saying, Manning and the rest of the Colts players want to try and go undefeated. So I can see them playing the whole game as long as they have a 0 in that loss column.

This isnt to say the Colts will lay down next week should they lose tonight. Again, whoever is in the game will of course try their best. Guys who make it to the league make it because they worked hard to get there and most guys are really competative. They have something that drives them called PRIDE. Anyone who is in the game is trying to win. But, if they have a loss, I could see Manning playing only 1 qtr.

I want the Jets to lose of course for a couple of reasons. 1)**** the Jets. And 2) there is still the shot that the Pats lose both of their road games as poorly as they have played on the road, and a Jets loss would allow us to win the division at 9-7 should the Pats lose twice.

Thank you. Im glad some people arent as lost as the ******* reporters that ask questions to the players and coaches. I dont know where this senseless BS comes from. Very few players in the NFL will go out there and tank it. Those type of guys dont make it too long in the league either. You dont think coaches notice that **** if it happens. Who is going to keep a player around like that? What kind of owner wants players who tank it in if they are eliminated from the playoffs. They are trying to run a business and sell tickets. Guys are fighting for jobs too.

Senseless bs.

It would be nice if Baltimore lost but we don't NEED them to lose in order for us to get in. There are several other ways for us to get in even if the Ravens win out.

pretty much. Only time a team gives up is if they quit on their coach. If that happens it just means that the coach can't motivate the team (ie Cam Cameron here). Even the Lions under Marinelli didn't quit (they actually loved the guy). The coaching staff just wasn't good enough, nor was the talent.

Teams don't quit if they're out of contention, but I don't see how you can argue that being in contention doesn't take a team's game to another potential level.
