London is the gunner on STs. Sparano doesn't like to play his "starters" on Special Teams. Thus why London isn't going to be the guy, he is the gunner on STs.

Bess is our slot receiver. He is perfect for that role. No need to put him on the outside.

No, Wilford, who was paid for the spot is the guy.

Sparano has stated that Wilford has had great practices and that the "ONLY" reason that he hasn't been activated is because Camarillo has played himself into the starting lineup (and he's gone for the year) and because Bess has a integral part of the kick return team and is a perfect slot guy. And because London is more built for the gunner spot on STs.

Now, Camarillo isn't there. Wilford is the no brainer starter at the opposite WR spot to Ginn. Easy.

It keeps the offense the same except it just adds height to the Camarillo spot. Wilford actually adds a redzone dimension to the WR corps that Camarillo didn't have.

Camarillo was just a special talent that had great hands and perfect route runner...but Wilford now will be able to step in as the role he was signed BIG $$$ for...possession WR. :woot:Go Ernest!

Yep. Wilford has to be the guy to step up here. London has ONE career catch in the NFL. Wilford is making good money and has produced in this league for several years. Im not saying he is going to step up and be the guy, but if anyone has to.....its him. He has to start earning that paycheck now. What has London ever done to suggest he can step up and even be the #3 guy? Wilford has proven what he can do in this league, now he has to prove it again.

I have a feeling if they put him in he'll do well .. because the Wilford we knew before his atrocious pre-season was a guy that was a very dependable receiver.. hopefully he was just going through a phase when he was dropping all those passes before

Starrting Wilford at this point requires no brain. He has one catch all season and has not been good enough to even be active. He doesnt even deserve to be on the team much less starting.

Its all up to him now.
I would be surprised if he pretty much shut in down for the year seeing how he was not even being allowed to dress out.
Vet's normally dont like not being able to put the pads on every sunday.
We all know he has the talent now we will see what kind of guy he is

Its funny (kinda) because when we first signed Wilford I was excited thinking he can finally get his shot and he has done nothing but been unactive all year! Now is his chance if any.

I don't know why this is any different than any other change we have made so far...and to think Wilford is a lock or that Hagan gets re-signed seems out of character for this regime. Because these two "primadonas" think they can get away without contributing their best effort on special teams, I say the message of intolerance will be reinforced and Wilford can continue to drop in value while Hagan sits and watches from home. Get ready for a free agent signing within 2 weeks and very limited play for Wilford until it's done. I don't see Bill and the boys compromising this "recipe for success" for anyone, especially slackers.

ahhh, Bess will be starting on Sunday from here on out

London is not just a ST guy, he's a WR too, and he gives WAY more effort than wilford does..

i think wilford will be active now... but i think london goes into the two spot, bess has more talent than london, but he's strictly a slot receiver...
i think we will see alot of ginn/london... especially since london is a hell of a run blocker, which i thinkwe start doing alot more...

probably go 60/40 or 65/35 run/pass.. i'd like to play london more, cuz if he's no good we need to draft a tall WR in the first 3 rounds

Yeah and we paid him all that cash too. I HOPE we see that guy step up, if anyone can make him look competant its Chad. The only reason he hasnt been cut is because of all that money we signed him to. :-(

well lets hope Wilford just explodes on the scene and proves to the coaches that he can play up to his contract! would be nice to have him as of second-half MVP! but dont hold your breath...
