Yes people, Daunte Culpepper isnt the same as he used to be, but that is because he can't run like he used to. Although the oline is nearly nonexistent as the same problem that has Ronnie Brown in lack of a run game, His knee is the reason for all of his problems. Culpepper is not A POCKET QB, he is CULPEPPER WHEN HE ROLLS OUT AND FIRES, SAME WITH MCNABB AND VICK. Due to his lack of speed due to his knee, he can't keep a spy on him and roll out to throw the long bomb. He can't plant correctly on his bad knee, which makes it A LOT HARDER TO THROW MORE ACCURATE AND FARTHER IN THE NFL. HE HAS ONLY THROWN 3 INT's in 4 games, which is not horrible, but HE CLEARLY wasn't THE SAME QB IN MINNY.

Let me tell you guys something, Chris Chambers is a top 10 receiver in the nfl and is one of the closest things to moss and booker is an above average number 2 receiver. Mcmichael is an all pro tight end, and welker and hagan are great 3 and 4 receivers. Ronnie Brown is the second best back since Ladainian tomlinson, All compliments to your players. BUT DC CANT DO ANYTHING BECAUSE OF THE O LINE PROBLEMS AND HIS KNEE PROBLEMS. I REALLY THINK THAT SABAN SHOULD HAVE MADE SURE DAUNTE WAS IN FULL SHAPE, NOT JUST BEING CLEARED OFF THE INJURY LIST in order to start. Joey Harrington should have played up until week 10 and if he had struggled, then bring in culpepper, but if the dolphins were doing good, bring in Daunte, But it clearly shows that Culpepper isnt able to clearly use the weapons he has around him.

Just to let you guys know, Culpepper is an all pro qb, he always was and his best season he did without randy moss being healthy and missing 4 games, so dont give up on him, if not this year, he will be fine next year, but dont go ahead and say how Gus Ferotte is still a better qb than him because this Culpepper is not one at 100 percent or even 70.

The relevant question is how good is Culpepper right now? The answer is not good enough. Play Harrington until Culpeeper's knee is healed and he can be effective.

I concur.

i agree with everything you said. but what saban should have done, knowing we have an injured QB who needs to be able to use his mobility to be excell,
was adress our travesty of an O-line. he should have adressed this in the draft. now dont get me wrong i am a huge fan of sabans but he dropped the ball here. how much better would this line have looked with davin joseph at RG or mangold at center and hadnot at RG? both of these players were taken AFTER jason allen in the first round, and where has jason allen been? my point is our first round pick should have been used on helping C-Pepp excell while also protecting our investment, not on a safety that cant beat out tillman and hill for some reason.

Hmm. That sounds like a bunch of Mularkey to me, lol.

Randy Mcmichael is not an all pro tight end - he has fallen from grace over the last couple of years although to be fair he has alot of blocking assignments.

Chris Chambers is not an elite reciever as he really struggles to beat the elite corners in this league, and always starts the season slow, and then comes on strong in the latter half - we need him for a full season, not half!!!

Booker is a very good no 2 and Welker a good no 3.

then how do you explain his stats last year, BEFORE, he got injured?

http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/133263/gamelogs/2005

basically looks the same as this year, and don't tell me that the Vikings OL sucked, because as soon as Brad Johnson came in then went on a six game winning streak, so they didn't just "magically" start playing better.

he was injured before the knee got blown out. story has already been posted a long time ago. Also he was getting sacked about as much as he is now. Minny fixed thier o-line and gave BJ more time.

WTF?!? Did you dream this or what?

:rolleyes2

For you morons who wont understand

When Culpepper got injured and Brad Johnson came in, the only reason he wasn't sacked like a dog was because of the fact that we changed our whole offensive scheme and threw 3 step drop passes and dump offs every single play. We never went deep, which takes about 5-6 seconds for a route to get downfield anymore because the old fart didnt have the arm. Also, we benched 3 olinemen and started better players there and Mike Tice took over the playcalling instead of an o line coach in steve loney.

brad Johnson played all inferior teams and our defense was ALOT BETTER, it carried us every single game.

Chris Chambers is not an elite reciever as he really struggles to beat the elite corners in this league,

:shakeno: chambers can make a catch while a corner is all over him! dont give me that crap. chambers needs a QB who will put the ball up and let him get it, an o-line that will give him time to get deep and a OC who will actually throw the ball to him 8-12 times a game. linehan used chambers correctly and thats why we won games and thats why he made the pro bowl. if mularkey would pull his head out of his *** and start involving CC more we might not be 1-3.

how do you explain his stats beore he got injured? have yo not been paying attention for the last 9 months that this has been hammered about?
1. scott linehan leaves minnesota, daunte must learn new system
2. randy moss leaves minnesota, dauntes best reciever. a rookie is brought in to replace him. daunte left with horrible recievers, no tight end, get the piture
3. running back is michael bennet. need i say more
4. 2 starters from the OLINE leave minnesota

Is that enough to spell disaster to you?

and by the way, chambers SHOULD be an elite reciever who can beat good covergae. but he hasnt done it this year. the better corners have taken him out of the game. if you watch youll notice he isnt being double covered

Why won't people understand?

1-3, with a loss to a team that was giving up and average of 37 points a game, that's why.
