Why whould brees want to go to the Saints...that place is a mess after Katrina, the team was almost sold, management doesn't care about the team, they problably want Brees to headline him when they sell the team, why do they want Brees, when they have the second pick in the draft. Are they going to pass up Leinart? If they do get Leinart...Does brees want to go through all that again?
In Miami he will be THE MAN...This team is on the verge, good coaches, Chambers, McMichael, Brown, Ricky Williams(?), a good defense, they are working on the O line, on the secondary, and plus Miami rocks...its a great place to live, a great place to play.

I hope he thinks about more than just the money... and thinks about the future. If he does choose Miami, I hope he heals, rehabs, and helps us win a SuperBowl.

the guy might never play at the same level of football again.. he needs to get all the bonus $$$ he can get..
 
I understand about the katrina thing. He said he's looking for a place that would be better for his family also. So he may learn towards miami considering the catastrophy of hurricane katrina
 
Money, no immediate pressure to win, and no lofty expectations are three reasons.
 
It's a bargaining ploy. He's not going to sign with them, he knows that if the Dolphins have to compete for him they'll make the deal sweeter. It'd be stupid to pick Miami and just go there, you're not going to get as good a deal as if you play the game a bit and visit elsewhere.

All accounts are that Saban and Co don't want to overpay for Brees. I hope he and agent are reasonable in their demands.
 
Maybe he wants to be a leader in bringing New Orleans back better than ever.

Or maybe it's the money.

Or maybe we're just a bargaining tool.
 
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check all the forums and threads before starting a new one on the same thing.. i'm not trying to be the thread police, but, it sure does save alot of people time...
