Wich Type Of Team Do We Want To Be Like? Jets?

The jets are the team Sparano/Parcells want. #1 rushing game #1 defense, Really good oline, Big reciver, Good tightend, Top 5 NT, Aggressive linebackers, #1 pass defense & a coach that the players rally for. We have a few of those pieces combined with a much better passing game and coach. I would want us modeled after the Jets but with a much better passing game and more humbled coach/players. Arent the jets basically the type of team we're suppose to be?
 
I think we already are kind of like the Jets. I even heard Jim Mandich and Joe Rose on the radio comment about how similar our teams are. I don't want to be like the stinking Jets. I want us to be better than the Jets and we are on our way. Man, it hurts that we beat them three times in a row and could have prevented them from going to the playoffs this year. Now we are stuck with all these Jets fans thinking they are so much better than us. I don't buy it so much.
 
Saints or Vikings. Balanced offense with a good defense. We need to be abe to run and pass so we can adapt to game situations. However, we do need to be a good running team to control the clock and run it out in the 4th quarter.
 
i want to be like the jets defense but i want to be like the Vikings as a all around team
 
i would say like the giants that one the sb, strong running game, great front 7 with pass rush, and a bully of an o line

I would much rather have the Jets defense over the Ravens Defense the jets are a more complete defense then the ravens are and i would much rather have a Saints Offense more then the colts the saints are more balanced then the Colts and can beat you to ways running the ball or passing the ball so for me it would have to be
Offense: Saints
Defense: Jets
 
**** being like other teams, how about just winning? This team has given us enough mediocrity in the last 20 years, time to shut up and perform.

The best teams in the league don't model themselves after anything, they just get talented players and a solid coaching staff and perform. That goes for Indy, NE, Pittsburgh, and any other successful team recently.

every coach models there team like someone else maybe someone that they were under like TS coaching our team the way that BP coached his teams
 
I want the dolphins to be a team that other teams will want to be like.

Jenkins isn't playing.

And no MIA don't need to be fashioned after anyone, but themselves. The pieces of the team will come together eventually.

The blue print is there, ie, Cowgirls, but MIA is building their own identity.
 
No matter how similar the game plan, or style,

WE WILL NEVER BE LIKE THE JETS.....

There's not enough tall things to fall from to get us to their level..
 
a team that can THROW the ball and SCORE POINTS when needed AND
control the clock with the run and an agressive defense.

its so funny, every time you talk about getting better wr's, guys
start saying things like, "no way! we have to run the ball! we have to play
defense like [place team name here]"...........

sounding like, if you can throw the ball, you cant run or play defense. it all gets
cancelled out.

you have to be able to do BOTH!! when the run is taken away, you better
be able to go to the passing game. if they stop the pass, better be able
to run.

its called........ A BALANCED OFFENSE!!

99% of the teams in the nfl that have won superbowls and were consistant
play off contenders had BALANCED offenses.

and all the cute cliches in the nfl world mean NOTHING. only one thing is
true and has been since there was an nfl............

HE WHO HAS THE MOST POINTS AT THE END OF THE GAME WINS!!

you gotta score points. and to do that with any consistancy, you have to
THROW the ball.
 
If you are asking what the FO wants I would agree the Jets is their philosophy. If you are asking what we fans want, well that will vary. For me, the Jets defense is good and the Saints offense would make a great combo.
