Wide Receiver Rumblings per Media

Anything that relates to Evan Silva, Rotoworld, Mike Florio or Jason LaCanfora to me is just laughable and the opposite is expected.

Its all guess work. I don't understand the wanting to replace Mathews thing. Hes not an all pro but he's probably got the most potential of all the WRs we have

I do not know about the most potential, but maybe. I do agree he is a good, young WR with room for improvement and I do not understand why they would want to move him off the roster.

the dude can play, and he is dirt cheap. add all the "superstars" you want, why would you dump matthews? makes absolutely no sense.

Yea I guess that was my point. You can easily cut binns for a new WR anyways. Why cast out our most physical WR

I could see them drafting a WR if they are worried that Gibson &/or Hartline may have to start the season on the PUP list. They may not think Matthews is ready to handle the two or three spot full time.

For the right compensation, I would consider trading him.....Maybe to Carolina or Tampa.

Id chalk this up as a smoke screen in hopes a team trades up with us...

I like Wallace and want him here.

I do as well. It's not like he didn't get open last year. Could he have come down with a couple more balls or maybe did a little bit more to facilitate a PI call? Yes... but on the most part he did his job pretty damn well. Tannehill hits him on a couple more of those deep balls and this team is probably in the playoffs. I however am not dim witted enough to know as well that a lot of other players left plays on the field that contributed to this team not making the playoffs as well. Especially the OL and LB's. Truth is I expect all of them to improve this season. If they do. This is going to be a damn fun team to watch.

i like matthews but we have a new GM. they generally like to win with their players, not the last guy's. any amount of turnover at any rate would not surprise me.

My 2 cents --- there is a whole lot of talent at the wide receiver position in this draft. It's very possible that the BPA at #19 or at #50 is a wide receiver. It would make a lot of sense to bring in one of the top guys. Miami's trio of Wallace, Hartline and Gibson isn't bad, but it's not exactly giving defensive coordinators nightmares either. Now if Tannehill and Wallace get on the same page that could change, but the bottom line is this team didn't score a lot of points.

The lack of a running game and lack of talent on the offensive line were the main issues, but adding a playmaker at wr or tight end would certainly help.

No way should we get rid of Gibson. He had good chemistry with Tannehill before his injury and Tannehill seemed to trust him in the slot

I'd chalk it up as exploring all options, as they should. This receiving core isn't scaring anyone and they experienced significant injuries last year. There is also questionable chemistry with the guy they just paid a boat load of money to last off-season. It's better to get "ahead" of these things than behind and not know when to part ways.

I'd have nothing, but respect for Hickey if he wasn't afraid to move on from Ireland's mistakes in a timely manner.
