I believe that we are about to see a bit of a transformation in our WC. Ryan beat it twice last year, and has to be feeling pretty good about what he did.

Not so fast. Henning has had White in cameo appearances, and Ronnie has not even thought of a pass. This is the game that all changes.

Trust me, it will happen.

Yea there will definitely new/different uses of the Wild Cat versus Rex Ryan's defensive sets. The straight up run at them won't work until we have them confused and off guard.

Rex Ryan and Bart Scott both think the Wild Cat is a joke and are actually daring us to use it. We'll see how we use it against them, and for some reason I feel it will be effective enough.

I too beleive the wildcat will not only run wild, but will ventually fly in this game.

I believe Henning is gonna kick Ryan's *** with the WC, and we will see why we picked Pat White.

Snap to Brown back to White deep to Ginn

I'll be the first to admit that it won't be easy. I expect this game to be tough, dirty and hard-fought by both sides. I feel like every yard will have to be earned and there won't be many easy plays given up.

This game means a lot to both sides, mostly to the Dolphins, and will raise the level of intensity to a completely different level. With that said, the Wild Cat has a chance to succeed, but don't expect it to flourish right off the bat, it may take a few tries before we break loose for a 10+ yard run/pass.

Dropped by Ginn.

Sorry you set that one up perfectly. And I'm just messing with you, I would hope Ginn redeems himself and catches that bomb.

Is it safe to mention Ginn & Bomb in the same post?

Mel G & Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon 3 won't be there to bail the phins out? :rimshot:

They way they stopped us last year was by all-out blitzing whenever we ran it, effectively filling all running lanes.

That said, my mind goes back to that pass by Ronnie to a wide open Fasano that was just out of his reach last year.

If we connect on one or two of those, Ryan's "Wildcat proof" defense will be in trouble.

I think we use the wildcat the same way we've been using it, as a power running formation. If there are any trick plays look for them to come from our basic formations. I think that Dan Henning now knows that when we're in the wildcat teams are looking for trick plays and that's why we run so well out of it. So when we go back to our regular sets defenses think they're off the hook and that's the best time to hit them with the trick plays. We'll probably see a reverse or two and I think maybe a flea-flicker.

remember, we're not going to be running against Ngata, Lewis, and Reed... Yes ryan may be a very good defensive mind, but when you have monsters up and down your defense it does help. And lets face it, this o-line is much better than last years.

Last year against the Ravens there was no Smiley, Grove and Thomas. I don't think the Jets have the personnel to stop it like the Ravens did, but I also think Miami's line is much better then last year as well.

Nobody runs on the Ravens D they have superior talent up front. These aren't Ravens we are playing on Monday night the Jets are not in the same league as the ravens run d.

You can hurt yourself getting too tricky. Even a failed attempt at a new wrinkle due to misexecution can really fire up the opposition, let alone a stuff or turnover.

I don't care whether we run new wrinkles or not, but every damn player better be ready to execute whatever plays are called.
