Being that the wildcat formation has show to be effective, especially in the redzone, and in rushing. Since Houston statistically is having a hard time against the run, Ronnie and Ricky can have a field day. It worked great against New England. I know we caught New England off guard with it, but they do have a much better defense than Houston. Do you think it will be as productive against Houston, as it was against New England?

I think it will. We have done a good job of putting new wrinkles in the wildfin formation. All I worry about is us getting too cute with it, but I have seen very good decipline from R&R. Remember last week when Ricky didnt throw the ball, he and all are playing smart football.

GO FINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the Wildcat is nothing new !!!!! i have seen it before so i know more than everyone !!! There is nothing special goin on here... all this is some sort of mistake and i promise the wildcat will FAIL FAIL FAIL... Ronnie is a chump who needs trickery to get yards.... you need to stop mentioning the wildcat or i'll poop my pants !!!!

 there, now the haters can rest.

the truth is... the wildcat has to be prepared for.. and we dont even have to run it, but they have to prepare for it....
there are plenty of wrinkles yet to be seen IMO and the wilcat will continue to help us confuse defenses as long as we use it. I can't wait to see what we do to Houston's defense...

I am waiting for Chad to get a pass, and then throw it deep. They are setting up for that one. Each game I bet we see a few different formations inside the wildcat. We already have, even if it is a small change. I Love it, it makes Dolphin games exciting again.

The Wild Shiner will hurt Houston's preparation, and we'll expose another option to it this week.

I believe it will be effective but probably on the same level as against San Diego. Im more worried about Slaton against our defense than I am about us effectively running the wildcat.. that guy is on fire.

I think the 'Wildcat' will become more ineffective the more we used it. I was actually kind of disappointed we used it as much as we did. And with Ronnie taking the snaps every time. Sure it pads ronnies stats, but I was looking for a larger element of surprise. Perhaps having Ginn in there, or Ricky. I think by the time they handed off to Ricky that was a play clearly designed to throw the ball it was too late, they went to thr well a little too often.

I think it can still be effective in limited use. But we should be a little careful on how often we use it. On goalline situations it could be very interesting.

Guys, I have heard waaaay too much false crap about the wildcat offense. I've heard people say "they'll gameplan to stop it", "its not going to work the more we use it". Listen guys, I'm not going to question anybodys football knowledge, but the "wildcat" is not trickery. People can gameplan all they want for it but they cant gameplan for Ronnie Browns brain. It's simple, It's a read and react play, when Ronnie recieves the snap he is watching the DE. If the DE boxes and comes up field, he will not give it to Ricky flying by around the end, he'going to pull it and go underneath the DE. It's simple fellas. It's just read and react for Ronnie.

Exactly! Its a formation that gives RB the ability to control where and when he or the ball is going to go. We can run it 5 times in a row and it can work all 5 times because he is reacting to the Defense, Which Normally its the Defense reacting to the Offense.

I think this formation and play set can be very effective in the red zone. In essence its a variation of the speed option but our QB isn't a Vince Young type so we switch him out with Ronnie Brown.

I am of the opinion that we should play smart "smash mouth" football against the Texans that represent the city of Houston. Not a whole lot of "WILDCAT" just enough to keep them honest. Our secondary will be the deciding factor of this ball game and I have a gut feeling that they will rise to the occasion and get an INT or two..

I think alot of people are not seeing the fact that this package is now becoming a normal part of our offense and we should see it on a more regular basis... regular meaning we should expect, or not be surprised, to see it ran roughly 10 times a game, and if it cant be stopped, and at 4.5 yards a clip, please keep running it.

They have to prepare for where the other 300+ yards of offense come from as well, point?

Yeah.. we run it like a strech play, or a simple veer offense(which most people should know, its a simple read and give or keep.. (its ran in Remember the Titans if you recall, tho it doesnt really.. show the play setup at all, just mentioned.). heh.. chargers stopped it pretty much cept when ronnie made a play because they didnt react, they shot the gaps and forced ronnie to make a decision instead of allowing him to wait. For ever offensive guru theres a defensive one.
