As many of you have seen the past couple weeks the wildcat has been pretty much non existant. Theres 3 main plays ran out of it. The Sweep with Ricky, the dive and Ronnie rolling out left and throwing. Why don't we try and do some of the things that we tried in the last Jets game of the season last year. I remember a couple of plays in that game where Ronnie took the snap and threw it over the middle. Teams are dialed in to those '3 plays' and I would believe that if Ronnie could complete a pass over the middle it could go for big yardage. I understand the wildcat was/is being used for opening up our rushing attack but we need to throw some more passes out of it or at least mix it up since as of late opposing defenses have started blitzing CBs. Maybe send a TE out in the flats or have Ginn shoot up the field? What do you guys think?

The whole offseason all everyone was talking about was the evolution of the wildcat. I kept saying the biggest change to the wildcat was gonna be having a offensive line, something we didn't have last year. To this point that has been the case. As you have said teams are finally getting back to where we thought they would have started the season, which is to have a successful plan to stop last years version of the wildcat. Now is the time to show the evolution of what the wildcat can become.

I think Penny going down has put the wildcat on the back burner to some degree. TS has mentioned White has to get up to speed on being a starter in case Henne goes down and that has pushed back some of his time in the wildcat. Now however, teams are starting to get up to speed on what we are doing and have a good plan on how to stop us, so now is the time to again unleash the evolution of the wildcat on the same team we started it against. This is the week to see what the wildcat can really become. This will be the week to find out if the wildcat is just a passing phase or is it here to stay. I really believe this will be the week we will see a whole new side of the wildcat.

What scares me is that even if we score every time we get the ball it still may come down to who has the ball last. I really don't see our two rookie corners and rookie saftey having much luck vs the pats passing attack. I would tell all our corners to take chances, jump routes, even guess at times. Make something happen, even if it's a mistake do it with speed and confidence. Don't just sit back there and let him pick us a part. Bend but don't break will not work for this game. We have to get some turnovers.
