Did we ever hear what the final contract info was?
How much did we end up paying him?
http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_main.aspx?sport=nfl&id=15Dolphins signed WR Ernest Wilford, formerly of the Jaguars, to a four-year, $13 million contract. The deal includes a $6 million signing bonus.
pretty sure it was 4 years 16 million
nope.....4 years 13 millionpretty sure it was 4 years 16 million
the signing bonus is spread out over the life of a contract. If the player is cut or traded early it gets accelerated, but for the basics if he plays it out, the $6mill is spread over 4 years just like the rest of the money. A signing bonus is basically promised money the player will make no matter what, even if he gets cut early. The rest of the money isn't guaranteed and could be lost if he is cut.
