Sparano said receiver Ernest Wilford will come to camp with the Dolphins, barring a sudden decision by some other team to trade for him, which is unlikely but you never say never. That Wilford will go to camp, of course, is obvious and any child could figure that out.

What you will read only here is the fact Wilford is available in trade for any team interested. The problem for the Dolphins is his bonus would accelerate but that's another matter. If Wilford somehow muddles through camp and makes the team at the last cut, he still might be a candidate for a pay cut, depending on whether the Dolphins can work the timing correctly. It's going to be a loooong road back from 2008 for Wilford.

I seriously think a team like the Browns could be a candidate for him or maybe even the Cheifs. The problem with the Browns is we already got a 7th fro Travis Daniels and Im not sure we would get anything more than a seventh for Wilford. I thin WIlford makes it to camp and is cut in the end.

Armando is really breaking some serious news there, eh? Fascinating.

Wilford sucks. I don't know what team in their right mind, would give up anything for a guy who is lazy, slow, has bad hands, and gives creepy interviews.

It is not exactly breaking news, but a conformation of something we already knew. Wilford is likely to be released or traded and the Dolphins got into a nice little mess by signing him. He will be in camp and will not likely make it out of it. You know they are not gonna hit on every Free Agents or Draft picks, but it is more the ones they hit on and then the ones they dont hit on.

I agree

Am I the only one who thinks we will be lucky to get a bag of practice balls for him?

call me crazy but if we don't draft a big WR then Wilford will make the team and he might actually surprise us.....I'll say that if he's with us he'll have a good season...just a gut feeling.

Ozzy rules!!

There are only 2 positive outcomes for the FO when it comes to Wilford ...

- he actually sticks and contributes this year

- someone agrees to take on his contract

we need nothing else in between from him ... we don't need any compensation, just assuming his contract is good enough -- if he doesn't play and contribute, we don't need him

Who in their right mind would trade a rusty nickel for this guy? If we pulled off even a 7th rounder for him I'd be shocked. And everyone knows we're going to cut him.

Yes, it's the Trifecta but c'mon now.
