Dan Wilkinson or Grady Jackson?

If we are to sign one to bolster our Nose Tackle position, which guy would you prefer to be a Phin?

I apologise if this has been posted anywhere already, I did a quick search.
Also, I wanted to post a poll but didnt know how to do it lol

grady jackson, at one point the man was the best there was at what he does.

Yeah I'd also say Grady Jackson. I don't think we have to go out and get a NT though, I think we would do better and getting ourselves a backup RB for 1 season. I think Manny Wright will do fine splitting time with Traylor.

Give me Wilkinson.

Jackson is fat and lazy.

:rolleyes2 And Wilkinson's not??? He's been nothing but a HUGE disappointment in the NFL.

Grady Jackson is much better than Wilkerson at this point and time, but the problem is that Grady Jackson's asking price will be too much.

Duh.

I know that Wilkinson is fat and he may be a tide lazy, but he still has plenty left in the tank and he isn't asking for a ton of money like Jackson. Wilkinson did good while with the Lions and the only reason why they let him go was because he didn't know if he is gonna retire or not. I don't know about you, but I would perfer a guy who is in shape, healthy and who isn't asking for alot of cash.

Funny how people who play for the Lions tend to want to retire sooner than later...:sidelol: :sidelol: :sidelol:

Have you guys actually seen this guys play? Grady Jackson by a landslide, the guy actually can still move, he is great separating from blockers and making plays on the ball carrier while eating up 2 blockers, damn he is solely responsible for Nick Barnetts late improvement in the last 2 seasons.

A Grady Jackson Story....

I have worked for my state for a number of year in providing parent training and behavior management training. One day I had an appointment with a parent at an apartment in Jackson. As I went in I saw several folks sleeping on the floor. After meeting with the parent and observing the child involved, this big guy walks into the room where we are. The woman said that he was her boy friend and his name was Grady Jackson, who played for the Raiders at that time. We had several minutes of conversation and I asked him about the Dolphin line at that time (Webb and Sims in particular). He didn't really have anything positive to say about them.

Just a little story on Grady.

I say Saban needs to get on the phone with the Panthers up here and work a deal for tony Bryant. He is young and was the defensive MVP of NFL Europe and with the depth Car has on the D-Line along with their youth he probably wouldn't cost much. I still say let Many and Vickerson along with the other guys play though. I am happy with the D-Line the way it is and don't really see a reason to spend money there.

Both players have talent and have underachieved. However, this has been the case with a lot of DT's who were effective later on. Sam Adams, for example, was an underachiever early on.

I would take Wilkinson for this reason - his style of play is more suited to us. Wilkinson's size and anchoring ability makes him an ideal NT and player who can stuff the line. Jackson is more of a penetrator than pure run stuffer.

I'm hoping we get him. We need that backup run-stuffing NT/DT to support Traylor - neither of those two can go the whole game but with them alternating and occasionally side by side, we would have a brick wall up front. Get Wilks and another OLB to compete for a starting position and I don't think there will be a serious weakness on the team. Of course, it will have to come together - but, this could gel into the most complete Miami team - offensively and defensively - since the 70's, imo.
