Will Allen - nice addition

I got a chance last night to watch the 1st preseason game alone in a quiet room with no interruptions on my TIVO.

Will Allen impressed the hell out of me with his run support! Kid can sure lay a hit...did everyone catch it when he STOOD Fred Taylor up?
He also had a good solo open field tackle on a short completion...then he is batting the ball up into the air for another defender (forgot his name) to grab the INT.

Sure, these are not huge (great) plays, but still a solid all around performance I think.

didn't see the game. thanks for the info man. i think he should be good too. didn't know that he helped create that Eddie Jackson interception.

He didnt just help Jackson make the pick, because of Allen the ball fell into Jacksons hands.

Cornerbacks that can play the run are huge. That's good to hear. My biggest problem with Sam Madison last year was his missing tackles on the edge.

Well one thing I defintely took from watching the entire game closely was the hitting that was going on. WOW!! Miami's defensive players were laying the wood on any and everyone!!

I agree. The fact that Will cant make ints is irrelevant. We dont need any 1 player to be a superstar. As long as he continues to deflect passes, then he will flourish. People need to realize that we do not need him to intercept passes.

If he picks up the system well, then he will be a big addition to the team.

hes has his moments where hell either be completely dominating and othe moments where hell be just plain old will

He will be fine as long as they are providing safety help over the top. He's solid in short to medium routes but after that it's iffy.

when will got beat he didn't blame anyone. we all no the saftey should of been there. a reporter tried to bate will into blaming allen, but he said "that was my man so it was my fault. I like that

I think W. Allen will improve all season long as he gets more and more comfortable with Saban's system. He is a great addition. Please, please stay healthy. We can't afford to lose any more corners.

Allen will only get better with Saban coaching him. I'm watching the pre-season game right now and Allen was the one who batted the ball into Eddie Jackson's hands. It was a great play by Allen.

i dvr the game i think that it was a really good game even tho we lost it was good cuz we only play are 3rd line up so they still gave then a go allen was everywhere from what i seen witch is good there where like 7 plays back to back that he was there just involed helping or something so thats very good
