There is a Twitter post from Finheaven stating we re-signed Will Allen but no thread here...weird

Will Allen has signed a one-year deal with the Dolphins and is practicing today.

Nevermind we did, per Sheftner.

find someone new, stop bringing back brocken down players............

Guy should have never been released to begin with.Veteran guy who will play solid,He may not get the interceptions but he will give us a solid DB in the nickel.

I think at this point trying to find a good new player is kinda tough, especially one that can be plugged in immediately. But I'm sure all the gurus on the board could pull it off.

Will Allen would not have gambled the way Sapp did on that play. THAT my friends is the difference. WTF was Sapp doing INSIDE of Welker on that play?

Agree with the move and to the poster above us, we can't really fix the problem now because everyone else is gone. Just another example of Spareland being in over their heads. They just basically showed how clueless they are. Hell, they still think Colombo is a "finisher" and Carrol is worth keeping.

He should have never been released in the first place, he played really well in the last 2 pre-season games, personally I think cutting benny sapp is an overreaction, it's one loss to a superbowl contender, the whole secondary got smoked even davis and smith, that no huddle was killing us and we had absolutely no pass rush to help the secondary at all, hell benny sapp was the only defensive player to make a play in that game when he caused the pick, nolan carroll should have gotten cut it's that simple, what are we going to do if will allens knee starts to swell up? are we gonna put nolan carroll back in there and watch him get smoked? i would much rather have veteran depth in benny sapp then have carroll on this roster, this was the 6th ranked defense last year and they will re-group there was no need to cut benny sapp it should have been nolan carroll! vontae, smith, allen, sapp, wilson, that'd be ideal

Could be wrong but I think that was the intention all along. To sign him after week 1 so his contract isn't guaranteed. Either way, glad to see him back. Sapp gave up 167 yards and 2 TD's and Carroll gave up like 106 yards. He looked pretty healthy the last 2 preseason games so we'll see.
