I am quite happy the way our secondary responded tonight, especially Will Allen....Things are starting to shape up with the Defensive backs....

he made a good play on that wide reciever he got burnt but knocked it out.i was impressed

He was steppin up and making taclkes and had a sweet deflection tonight, he looked pretty darn good. Now, if we could just get Travis Daniels back in there...I thought Goodman did pretty well too.

I live in NY and have watched him play. He isn't going to get you the INT's, but he will play solid defense. He has really good speed and can play at the line of scrimmage which is what Saban wants in his DB's. I think he will do just fine.

Yeah that was a great play, but I wouldnt say he got burnt he was beat by a few feet

I definitely think he got beat on that throw but boy his closing speed was amazing on that play....Very impressive....

I think by the first game of the season Allen will be one of the top players in our secondary. I cant wait to c what this kid can do in a real game

im really impressed with him. I have heard great things about him and i love the fact that he made a great play on that ball and came back and broke it up. Well done !!!

Big Mike P..on the hand off..over all, I wasn't that disappointed, as I think the carolina panthers is one of the better teams in the league and we held our own..there some good things I see with this team, I actually think our 1st stringers would have fought and won this game if it was for real...the only thing I don't know is if Steve...would have made a big difference.

If he got his hand in there then he wasn't burnt :rolleyes2

If 'that' was burnt then I wonder what you consider great coverage...pass interferance as the cb piggybacks the WR?

Ohh Steve Smith would have made a HUGE difference. He is one of the best in the game at his position when healthy. It would have been interesting to c if our secondary could shut him down though.

:D thank you some one knows what they are talkin about

Big time. They did a very good job and it will only get better, the closer we get to the regular season. I hope that Travis Daniels gets back soon, because he knows this defense.

The 1st string secondary played their best game tonight. W. Allen did a really good job. He didn't get burned. The WR made a move at the line and Allen had to adjust. He adjusted immediately and got in a GREAT position to knock the ball down. It was a great play.

will played solid but i got pissed off at eddie jackson. he sucks period. i thought he was a decent 3rd string cb but not anymore it just seems like he has trouble the only thing he has a little bit of speed. dumb him! any body else feel the same about him?
