My knock on Chris Chambers has always been, and will continue to be until he proves me wrong, that he drops entirely too many passes. The huge game he had against Buffalo last year where he had like 15 receptions for 200-some-odd yards and the winning TD would've been even more impressive if he hadn't dropped 6 passes.
Now don't get me wrong, I love Chambers and have since he had a great rookie year, but he has a problem where he drops pretty routine passes. What really confounds me is that when he's called upon to do so he can make some of the most acrobatic and incredible catches you could possibly imagine. I figure it has to be a concentration issue. Because clearly when Chambers is focusing he's got some of the best hands (and body control) in the NFL.
Anyways, the point is that I think Chambers will really reach that next level when he finally is able to eliminate the dropped passes. Everything else, including the intangibles, is there.
