I know we have Culpepper and everything now, but Chambers did have a career year last year, and it will be hard for him to beat 11 TD's in a season, but do you think he will?

yes, he won't have to dive for a lot of balls because Gus ***gorette overthrows. Culpepper to Chambers will be money!

I have no idea. I hope, but i feel theres going to be even more pressure on him now that hes accomplished a pro bowl season.

I mean, I know he is gonna have a great year without any injuries, but somehow, he had a sick year last year. The only thing he lacked on when it comes to the elite WR's like Chad Johnson was total yards.

He will improve from last year but not as most would think. He might not catch the same amount of passes because the ball is going to be spread around between the tightends/runningbacks as well as all the receivers. He's going to catch the type of balls that he dropped last year and he's going to be a better blocker.

yeah, what did he finish the last six games with like 700 yards and 6 TDs.... then you bring in Cpep.

I traded Chad Johnson for him so lets hope he does decent

i rekon he will have a pretty much the same numbers that he put up last year maybe a little less because i think that booker and mcmichaels numbers will improve.

He had 11 with Fiedler/Griese in '03 and 11 with Frerotte/Rosenfels in '05.
I think he can beat 11, since he was able to get that many with a poor QB carousel twice. I think what it comes down to is how many receptions and yards he can rack up.

My knock on Chris Chambers has always been, and will continue to be until he proves me wrong, that he drops entirely too many passes. The huge game he had against Buffalo last year where he had like 15 receptions for 200-some-odd yards and the winning TD would've been even more impressive if he hadn't dropped 6 passes.

Now don't get me wrong, I love Chambers and have since he had a great rookie year, but he has a problem where he drops pretty routine passes. What really confounds me is that when he's called upon to do so he can make some of the most acrobatic and incredible catches you could possibly imagine. I figure it has to be a concentration issue. Because clearly when Chambers is focusing he's got some of the best hands (and body control) in the NFL.

Anyways, the point is that I think Chambers will really reach that next level when he finally is able to eliminate the dropped passes. Everything else, including the intangibles, is there.

Why did you do that ? I love Chambers too, but that doesn't make any sense at all.

yeah i'm sure that if in real lfe the bengals offered chad johnson for chris chambers we would take him without any hesitation.
