After hearing all of these things about how he has a sharp pain in his knee and that he can't move like he used to and this is known to be a career ending injury. Do you guys believe he will ever be 100% again in his career and will be able to play here like he did in Minnesota?

Definetly.

He needs to be more cautious, is all. If he is aware of his injury, takes it easy, he'll do fine. He needs to throw the ball quicker to prevent sacks.

depends on what you mean by 100%. if you mean healed then yes.they all ready said that the injury is healed.
if you mean will he be as fast as he once was then no i dont think that he will ever be their again

I personally think he will be back to being a stud, but it's going to take time and you know the dolphins have invested way to much money to not keep trying with him

No, a tri-ligament tear is a very serious injury and he will never be 100% physically. Having said that, can he be 90% physically and improve mentally to where he plays within his physical capabilities and still be a great quarterback in this league? It is definitely possible and I hope so, but that remains to be seen. Keep in mind, duante at 90% of where he was pre-injury (physcially) is better than 75% of the starting quarterbacks presently in the league.

I dont think he will. Its funny because alot of the people who think that Daunte will regain his old form etc are young. 18 and under. People who dont understand sports injuries and how things work in that department. While Daunte isnt OLD he isnt 20 years old anymore. The body heals differently at his age then it would have 10 years ago.

He is asking alot out of his gimp leg. Running, Cutting, Stopping, starting, getting hit, falling awkwardly. Those are all things that take their toll on him.

Id like him to return to his old form, I dont see it happening. IMO what the Phins need to do is put him on IR, let him rehab until next year and give it another go. There is no benefit to bringing him back this year that I can see.

While the Dolphins arent nearly as bad as people would think they arent a super bowl caliber team this year, there are still to many holes.

The vikings got rid of Daunte for a reason, the phins took the gamble and so far its not paying off. Lets hope it will next year but I dont have much confidence in it.

Frankly, I don't think he will ever be the QB he was. I think we have been screwed on trading a 2nd round pick for a QB yet again...this time was less of a reach than AJ Feeley of course, but the end result will be the same.

And that reason would be nothing more than Brad Childress' attempt at making an example of someone to show he was righting the ship. Of course, with Brad Johnson at the helm, everyone in Minnesota is likely regretting the loss of Culpepper, even if he is injured.

I don't really think anyone knows the answer to this question, even Pep and Saban. Time will tell............................

i believe they said that they wanted team players and he didnt fit the mold.
i havent heard anything from anyone about minny missing DC. ithink their pretty happy

Physically, he'll be fine by next year. Mentally, he'll never be the same. Doubt is a hard thing to shake, and time makes it worse not better. He's had not one but two sub par years which has to have him scratching his head. If you couple that with a noticable decline in physical ability, you have a very steep hill.

I will say this, he's everybody's poster boy for failure this year. All of the media has written him off. That could be enough for him to work through this and come back with a vengence. I really hope so becasue we really need a QB who can win games when the D or the running games isn't working.

Daunte will probably be a good (extrememly expensive) back-up but I can't see him as the main guy...I'm not saying we won't try...again and again.

Living in a hugely Viking area there have ALWAYS been questions about this guy...even in his best years. Correctly or not, a lot of his achievements have always been attributed to having Moss to throw to during his time in Minnesota and to his being able to power run on short yardage downs...neither of which he has now.

I have yet to meet a Viking fan who was sad to see him go...and actually got many, many jabbing comments from Viking fans (saying "good luck" and "thanks for takin' the guy") before he ever took a snap in Miami.

I wish him well and a full recovery...but I don't have much hope for him being the guy to get Miami to full form.

Its fair to say he may not go back to his '03/'04 form when he threw like 38 TDs. But he can go back to be a consistent, reliable Quartback, not MVP like.

I sure hope so, I believe in Daunte, and we sure need him to get back to his 2004 form, if he DOES I'm going to be one very happy camper, and so would all the Daunte haters, because he's the kind of guy that could take us to the SB and win it.
