Well, we have to interview at least one minority candidate, right? Are any of the other high profile candidates we're looking at minorities? And does Norm Chow count? Eg, is a "minority" in NFL terms "anything other than caucasian?" Or does a candidate have to be of a specific ethnicity / background to be a minority candidate?

Ron Rivera should be considered as a minority and if he is then that would be the guy Miami interviews because they are already interested in him.

I wouldnt want a coach who just got fired for doing a horrible job.

He could anything could happen but right now only Cam Cameron has gotten the interview if hired for arizona maybe denny green could be our next interview or someone else.

God not green, please no. We dont even need him for that silly minority thing. NO! read my sig for the truth!!

With Daunte as the QB, he will be at the top of the list of minority coaches to be interviewed. Hopefully in that meeting he can also impress enough to join as an offensive coordinator or assistant HC.

If Asians aren't considered a minority in this case, isn't that prejudice in and of itself while trying to promote diversity? This isn't the UC system where Asians are the majority and were not included in the affirmative action program (I mean really how do you try to promote asians if they are already 50% of the student body). I can think of one and a half asians in football and one is retired lol (Dat Nguyen from the Cowboys). I think there are a lot of pacific islanders though.

Are there Asian coaches?

Anyway he could be interviewed.

With a new HC coming in, there is no certainty Daunte will be back. New coaches like to get their own QBs.

Even if Daunte stayed, I want nothing to do with Green. He just got fired for boming in Zona, why do you want him? Here is the result. Several seasons of 7-9 teams, maybe a 9-7 year and a first round playoff exit. No retreads!!!
READ MY SIG!!

Maybe Wayne can bring in Barry Alvarez for a courtesy interview. I think we want someone like Cameron, or Mariuchi....sounds like Bates is the player's favorite right now. I just hope Wayne takes his time and gets someone who won't bolt in a couple years.

Why don't we interview Jesse Jackson?

I don't want him as the head coach, you misunderstood. The Dolphins are required by the league to interview a minority coach. Green will be an easy candidate because of his connection to Daunte, it won't look like he just got the interview because he is black. But, he has a good offensive mind and may have to accept that he will never be more than a coordinator.

It depends on the coach, and it depends on the demands to win now that Huizenga puts on him. If it is not Daunte for the future, it will be a QB with the 9th selection, which means Daunte will still be the starter in september. I understand that everything is up in the air right now, but I would hate to see last year's 2nd round pick and former all pro discarded just because the new coach wants his own guy.

I want Mularkey as far away from this organization as possible in 07'. And I'm not sold on the HC being able to mastermind the offense while running the whole team. So I'd like to see a talented offensive mind coaching the offense, and Green is available so...

Does minority mean strictly black? I would prefer to interview Ron Rivera for the minority requirement, as we actually should show interest in him. You dont, however, have to pretend your interested in the guy your interviewing, remember the Art Shell interview??
