Will Hill & Waddle Be Good Fantasy Performers - Article

"On ESPN platforms, Hill is being drafted as WR7 and last season's standout rookie Jaylen Waddle is being drafted as WR13. There is reason to be excited about at least one of the Dolphins' receivers considering what McDaniel did with versatile receiver Deebo Samuel last season as the coordinator in San Francisco."

Assuming health to all, Hill is clearly the better option for fantasy football. Not just fast, he is explosive, quick and shifty. He is better at running through traffic than Waddle. I foresee a lot more play variety being designed for Hill including lining up in the backfield, end-arounds, and jet sweeps.

Hoping Waddle shows more big play ability like he did in college. Dropped a couple which hit him in stride that looked like it would be a race to the end zone that would have helped his numbers, and Tua’s.

Wilson was heavily used in the slot at Dallas so presuming Waddle will see more plays at the Z and sometimes X. From what I have seen he isn’t particularly strong as the X. However, he might get more favorable coverage with Hill on the field having to beat single coverage.

Should be fun watching those speed demons running all over the field including having Edmunds and Mostert out of the backfield.

It's going to be a nightmare of defenses. Mike Gesicki should be the ultimate beneficiary heading into unrestricted free agency (unlikely to return this time).

I dont do the fantasy thing but if I did they would be on my team.

Well in the FH fantasy leagues they'll probably be #1 and #2 Wrs off the board. In all honesty, I see them about equal in overall production as Cheetah's going to be used as a decoy a fair amount and always draw a double team. Waddle will benefit from it. Both players probably end the season averaging around WR7-10 which would be quite the boon for us.

I think they have the opportunity to be one of the great WR duo's of the past 20 years if not the NFL. They will go down in Fins lore as better than Clayton/Duper IMO. When all is said and done I think they will be discussed on the levels of Carter/Moss, Harrison/Wayne and Rice/Taylor. I know that seems out of reach but those are the expectations I have for them after what they've already done in the NFL.

It’s not very likely either one of em finishes top 10, especially both. Waddle had 140 targets last year, hill had 159 and they finished 6th and 21st. Neither likely to see the same target volume

Sure. As a fan, that should be the expectation. But everything needs to click firmly into place to allow for it as well as no injury bug. I hope they are the two top receivers in the league. They may not be but I still want it.

If I had to be honest I think Hill is a back end WR1 6-12, Waddle is a WR2 13-24, Gesicki is a backend TE1 6-12, and Wilson is a WR3 25-36.

If that plays out it means Tua would be a legit backend QB1 with upside to be a top tier QB1.
