With sunday, the day the dolphin rookies are set to report, rapidly approaching, and the signing of Satele, does anyone think or has anyone heard anything more about Wayne's promise to force any rookie holdouts to sit for the 2007 season? Just curious, as it would be a devastating blow to have Beck sit in case Green can't cut it.

Training camp doesn't start until the 28th. That's the "deadline", not the rookie report date. So to answer your question...NO.

I won't believe Wayne until I see it happen. Two years in a row rookies have held out. He almost blew a gasket when Ronnie did it, yet when Jason Allen did it last year he did nothing. So far, regarding this issue, he's all bark and no bite.

lol, no [mod] Do not circumvent the profanity filter please. [/mod] way he does it IMO, it would be the dumbest thing an NFL owner has ever done. Who is EVER going to want to play or be drafted by Miami if he did something like that? Also remember he made the same promise last year and Jason Allen signed late and played right away.

No way he would do that. And training camp doesnt start untill the 28th so they still have time to sign Ginn and Co.

He isn't doing it. He already put a sock in it because the media has asked him about it and he's been mum.

For all his bluster, I'm not sure he can. The NFLPA would probably file a grievance.

This may be no more than a wild guess, but after reading a number of articles on Satele's signing, it seems the Phins focused on getting Satele signed first, due to the immediacy with which he is expected to start, learn, and take reps with the first team offense.

With Ginn and Beck expected to learn and acclimate into the picture along the way, it may not have been as much an urgency for those two to show up day one. Not that they shouldn't. But it may be the Dolphins' own version of risk reduction.

Hell Huzienga could not get his players to bring thier movies back on time much less sit his rookies.

ROFL, you're a bit negative sometimes dlockz but that is hillarious.
