with all the talk of saban going to a 3-4 defense and how jason taylor hates the idea will jt be back in 06 to play or will saban use him as trade bait for picks like he did with surtain?i woul think jt brings a 2nd and a 4th round pick for any takers .what would be the cap hit NEXT year if we trade him?

I don't think he's leaving. There's no reason for him to leave, he likes it down here, he's a team player, gives 100% every down, and he's THE fan favorite. Who said JT hated the 3-4 idea? He'll play in it and he'll be successful, trust me.

jt does not want to play a lb type of a role if switched to a 3-4 he may be a fan fav but at what price is he expendable?

3-4 or not I don't think there's any way you trade JT next year. For starters I don't think were going to use the 3-4 a lot, just some of the time, at least for the next few years until the personnel is in place. We're just not going to use the 4-3 98% of the time like in prior years. As for trading JT for a 2nd and 4th thats WAY too low. IMO cornerbacks are a little easier to come by than a premier pass rushing end, at least a 1st and 3rd(although he is getting older i guess). I dont think he will ever be traded though.

with a cap figure like jt i think his days could be numbered.would he be willing to restructure or take the risk of being traded or perhaps cut in a FEW years .i think saban will do what he thinks is right his popularity to the fams and his teamates are key but its nicks team now and no one can change that

It's obviously Nick's team and he will do what he wants with the roster but I think JT is a team player and will do what it takes to stay with this team, be it restructure next year or anything else. I could be wrong though.

Saban is still going to make several moves that will not be popular with the fans/teammates (i.e. Lawyer Milloy) so JT finishing his career as a dolphin is not a given. If JT can restructure his odds increase. Zach and Sam I don't know ....the only thing I going to assume is that this team will look COMPLETELY different in 2 seasons....

wait a min....who said he wont wanna play lb. First of all, when and if we go to a 3-4 defense, holliday, roth, and taylor will switch it up at d-end and lb. Rember when we used JT in those situations where we let him free lance, well that was the year he led the league in sacks.

I dont think we should trade JT at all. Elite pass rushers are too hard to find + he plays the run very well. I left out hes also my fave current phin :)

I am alittle worried about JT situation after this season. This season JT will prob play a stand DE in the 3-4 scheme and he will be a leader for the DL. Next year Saban will likely ask JT to take a pay cut as well to being moved to LB. ZT is in the same boat as JT is in, and i hope they will still be our leaders in 06.

It depends on Saban. If JT works hard and plays well enough to justify the salary, he will be back. If he just plays good and will not restructure, he will be traded. If Saban could get an early 1st for him or better it is a strong possibility. JT said he didn't care where he played, he knew it was a business and just wants to play football.

how long will this d unit stay the same ?with zt jt sm i think we saw a major revamp in the secondary this year and next year could spell the same but for our dline and lb's its to much $$$$$$$$ for agging players on the decline fan favs or not plane and simple.

i love JT, his style, his intensity, and his pass rush skills. BUT it is known that he dosent want to play LB and hes to thin to play a DE in a 3-4, and IMO we will be in a 3-4 full time with some 4-3 here and there in a year or two. i would hate to see him go just like i hated to see pat go but if he dosent fit in the new scheme i would take a 1st and a 3rd for him anyday of the week.

I don't think there's anyway that we'll Jason Taylor go. He is the best most talented player on our defense. Unless we're switching to the 3-4 and he refuses to play OLB, I don't see him going anywhere and I don't see that happening. Zach Thomas on the other hand is a question mark. I think it's going to depend greatly how he performs in Saban's system and if he is willing to restructure his contract. I think that both of those things will happen and he will remain a Dolphin and once his career is over, he'll retire a Dolphin.

he better not be leaving i did not just pay a sh!tload of money to buy his authentic jersey
