Don't get me wrong, I love Randy McMichael but am getting sick of watching him drop the ball and not get utilized in the red zone. A good tight end is a weapon close to the goal line and McMichael is still without a TD this late in the season. Do you think it's because he is spending so much time blocking to help the o-line?

I'll go on record and say he NEVER SCORES AGAIN!!!

With all sarcasm aside, maybe 2-5 before seasons end.

Even Peele has scored!!!!!!

I don't care if Randy scores or not, just make the catch and hold onto it.

OMG... I thought I was the only one who noticed this. I honestly thought this was Randy's year to break out and make it to the probowl like most of us know he can. McMike has talent I just don't know what is wrong.

There is a bunch of different problems that i can see that contribute to him not being a Pro Bowl calibur tight end.

1. He's being used more as a blocker which means he get's less opportunities.
2. He drops passes at times because he looses concentration, alot like Chambers actually.
3. I don't think Malarkey calls his number enough. In the same way that Linehan would try to get Chambers open he did the same thing with Mcmike when it was possible, Malarkey dosen't really do that at all.

That's the reasons that i can think of based off of watching the games this year. He's got the potential to be a good tight end but he's never really been utilized properly.

I think it's a combination of blocking and Joey getting rid of it so quickly. I'm not knocking Joey, but if Randy isn't the 1st or even 2nd read(when he does run a route), he probably won't have a chance to see a pass near the goal line(or in the red zone).

I think that guy from Notre Dame (Jeff Samardzija) would make a nice tight end if he can maybe add about 25 pounds in bulk. He runs great patterns and seems to catch everything thrown his way. McMike has not had a lot of passes thrown his way, but maybe it is because he makes every catch an adventure. I think I scream at the TV more because of Randy than any other player....except for Olindo Mare. :tantrum:

He could make a good tight end but i'm not sure how good his blocking is. He's talented enough to play receiver in the NFL. He has size, speed, and he's got hands like glue, you don't usually see a guy that big run as fast as he can.

so touchdowns are just a stat. What matters is with Randy McMichael as a tight end Miami has won the last 3 games.

Certainly not because of mcmichael

dropped balls? huh???

what are u guys talking about ?!?!? !?! randy has dropped less passes than_anyone_on_our_recieving_core........................................................................

you could tell he wanted that touchdown last week real bad when he was tackled on the 1 yd line. he had an extra push for the score and took 2 or 3 people to bring him down.
my point - you can tell he's frustrated by not scoring as well. its definantly in the back of his mind, but i think he has however really stepped up his performance the past few weeks. i.e. no drops and taking advantage of everything going his way.
