What is the status of Poole? Is he still a Dolphin? I thought he was cut, but I see he is listed on reserve in the Dolphin Digest.

He's not on the team, but they haven't reach an injury settlement yet with him so he's still on there

Injured reserve. When they waived him injured, if no one else signed him, and they didn't, he reverts to our IR list. I would love to see him try and come back next year but I am afraid that boat has likely sailed.

He isn't going to amount to anything in this league and I wouldn't hold out any hope of him becoming a good player.

Not only did no one sign him but the team and him couldn't agree on an injury payout. So he's on IR and I fully expect him to be among the first wave of cuts after the season.

I couldn't disagree with you more. Saban is a competition type of coach. He had stated when they first cut him that he'd be interested in bringing him back when he healed up

Then a few days afterwards they just put him on IR due to the fact that they couldn't settle on the injury settlement...

so he'll be back "at least" for training camp

If he impresses, he'll stick...if he still looks "injurable"...then he'll be cut

But we probably will draft a CB in the 1st day of the draft for depth

Isn't this his second year being on IR.

I can't recall him ever being on the field. Maybe because it's such a rarity.

2 straight years of being on I.R. makes you wonder how good he will be when he does come back. He just can't stay healthy. Seems to be injury prone.

Yeremiah Bell was injured for two straight years two. And look where he is now.

I'm saying this will or will not be the same case. I just think we should wait for next season to see if he is really injury prone or if this just happens to be a long streak of bad luck.

The weekly "Will Poole" thread has now become the bi-monthly "Will Poole" thread.

We are so starved at CB that people on this board are obsessed with a marginal injury-prone corner. It continues to amaze me.

See you in February for the next "Will Poole" thread!

:shakeno: i would call it curiosity more than obsession. hes still a miami dolphin right now so what is the problem with discussing him?
