I think he will no longer be needed on our roster if Ronnie Brown develops into the player Saban wants him to be.

Ideally, I see Ricky have a productive enough season this year to trade him in the off-season maybe next year or the year after for a 2nd or 3rd round pick....in a perfect world..

I certainly hope we get rid of him the first opportunity we get. Otherwise, I'll be extremely disappointed with the Ronnie pick. He wasn't who I wanted, but it'll be even worse because you dont pick somebody #2 overall and invest big money to have him split carries.

I'd trade him for a set of all-season tires............used all season tires.

Ricky has to show that he is still worth trading for first.

Magic 8 ball says yes!
My magic 8 ball says no.

Why?

1. Ricky can't be trusted, so teams might not want to trade for him.
2. Saban will never get the value he wants.
3. Ricky may never be the same player he was before he quit....uh retired.
4. He publicly stated that he will most likely only play two more years at the most.
5. Saban seems to like the idea of two RBs possibly being on the field at the same time.

My conclusion, he comes back, plays two years and then retires again as a Dolphin.

Good points Nub! However, lets say Gordon, or Harris step it up, and Ricky is a bad influence on Brown, then I say trade him to the Raiders. I just don't ever see this relationship with Ricky and Dolphins ever returning to the old ways.

I agree that the relationship will never be the same, but even if the Raiders offer a 6th round pick, I don't see Saban taking it. Saban will most likley demand a 3rd round pick like he demanded a 2nd rounder for Surtain. Unlike the Surtain situation though, teams may never budge on how high their offers are. The offers may be there, but Saban may never pull the trigger.

Me neither. From all the interviews with Ronnie that I have seen, he seems like a very humble down to earth guy. While this may change, he just seems to be one of those rare team players that money might actually be second behind winning.

I dont think it would hurt Brown to have Ricky there for a year or so. I mean Ronnie needs some people for advice, and I dont think Gordon or Minor are in a posistion to give him advice.

But if Ricky somehow gets back strong, I wouldnt mind having 2 excellent runningbacks.
