Will Ronnie Brown be a solid RB in 2008? All signs point to yes. Brown was looking like one of the best RBs in 2007 before he tore his ACL. Now, he's had some time to recuperate and is even possibly ahead of his rehab schedule. Sounds good, right? There are some major question marks about the Dolphins in general, including the backfield - what exactly will they do with Ricky Williams, Jesse Chatman and Lorenzo Booker? I've heard rumors they may want McFadden with their #1 pick in the NFL Draft, but I just don't see that happening - seems to me that the RB position is the least of their concerns. Plus with the acquisition of OC Dan Henning, I see good things in Brown's future. So keep an eye on his progress and who the Dolphins trade/release/draft, but I personally would be quite happy to have Brown as my RB2 next year.
Those of us worried about how he's doing this seems to indicate he will be 100% come the start of training camp..

Not sure what RB2 means though..

With the revamped Oline I do think we will see an improved rushing attack from the Fins in the next few years. My only gripe with ROnnie is he needs to just bust it up in there and stop dancing in the backfield looking for holes.. Maybe this year those holes will be bigger!

whillis got the same thing done to him and he actually might have gotten better, it may take him a little bit but he wil be back to ronnie form

I see no reason why RB won't be effective next year. I think he'll be a little slow getting started, but will eventually ease back into the same player we saw early last season. But we have a very capable running back on the roster named Ricky Williams that should fill in admirably while Ronnie gets back to full speed.

that is the one thing ronnie improved on last year, he wasnt dancing as much, hence the 5.1 ypc. In fact, idk where that statement comes from at all.

No.

Even if the ligament fully heals in 4-6 months he wont have full strength in the joint for at least a full year. We'll be lucky if he plays in 5-7 games this season.

Ok Doc....you do realize that an athlete like Ronnie is going to heal faster then the normal human...He'll play the whole season, watch

I want to stay positive but I just have this sinking feeling about his knee. Not sure why.

Here is something that I've been wondering about. What was the severity of Ronnie's injury? I know that there are various grades of ACL tears. Was it a slight tear, partial tear, or full tear? I've never seen a report indicating the severity of the tear, all they said it was just an ACL injury. If anybody can clear this up, that would be great.

Anyways, Ronnie will probably start off slow, but will gain momentum as the season moves on.

it usaly takes 2 years to fulyy recover from an ACL hence duece mcalister

It's just a partial tear of the ACL, he didn't even tear it completely

1. Ronnie didn't even tear it all the way

2. you can't judge how fast Ronnie will heal based on one other player..

Does anyone know another player that had the same partial tear?

Amani Toomer did in November 2006 and played pretty good this year

Phillip rivers played the AFC championship game with a torn acl

I'll keep looking
