For Law to return to the Jets, they would have to exercise an $11 million option on his contract (not gonna happen). With that said, I think the Patriots will try to get him back? Do you think Saban will try to nab? He's a couple of months older than Madison, but he's still putting up numbers (7 picks -1 returned for a TD against his former team). He would be an upgrade from Madison and provide veteran leadership to the young players in the secondary (Daniels, Poole, Mitchell, etc.) Plus he played in a similar defense in New England, so he might not take as long as Shulters and T. Jones did.

I'd rather have Law than Howard at the same salary. That said, I would also like to deny the Pats from getting a top corner. If Law's willing to take a pay cut, I'd like to see him here.

Id sign him and Id give him a nice amount, if we have the cap space use it.

After having watched Law on Monday night, I would say that he looks like he hasn't missed a meal in a while :fatman: . Damn did he look big! Perhaps looking to lengthen his career as a safety a la Woodson and Lott?

Law's history dictates that he will go to the highest bidder.

replace madison with law. mabe a younger FA at the other side or Daniels. that would be a major upgrade

HOrrible Idea, you do realize it would be cheaper to sign law and keep madison than it would be to cut madison and still sign law? Little thing called cap hit...

NO

next question

Law has said during a TV interview about 2 weeks ago that he only wishes to go back to the Pats. I would be shocked to see him in any other uniforms next year.

Will Saban go to Outback Steak House tonight for dinner?

To me both questions are about as capable of an answer....

If he is willing to play at a reduce salary.

so your questions is will Saban...

go after Ty Law? Only if he signs for the minimum or close to it. Saban had a corner as good as Law and he let him go because of money...he sure isn't going to spend the money now.

I think Saban is going to save his money for alot of players, not one.

Well, Saban does seem like a steak-eating tough guy, so I would say his chances for Outback Steak House would be good. But, it's still the regular season and he's on "Breakdown-the-Patriots" mode so he probably doesn't have any time to go out to eat. Maybe he has one of his 347 assistant coaches go out for Outback takeout? That's probably more likely. However, if it were in May, after the draft, he might be able to swing dinner out with the wife and kids. I'm sure he tries at least a couple times a year. But being dedicated, he probably brings the playbook with him to Outback, which I imagine would annoy his wife to no end. So, in the end, he probably doesn't ever go out to Outback - so the obvious answer is that, NO, he won't be going to Outback Steak House tonight for dinner.

As for Law, at the right price, he's still very talented. But the odds are against us as we're not going to overpay.
