I am beginning to question it. I was reading the article on the home page of finheaven about how NIKE thinks he is fully committed to his return. If that is the case will Saban fork out the extra cash Ricky will want next season to keep him here. At LSU he has a good 1-2 punch with Alley Broussard and Justin Vincent and I am wondering if he is looking for the same thing in Miami for this season and those threrafter. I realize that in college there are no financial obligations like the NFL but I think there is that possibility.

No

It would be a nice story, but I don't see any way we could keep him unless he'd we willing to play for nothing, which I doubt.

yes, you bums. if he signs a cap friendly deal, (3-4 million a year).

you bums just want him out of here.

which is more benefit to the TEAM?

ricky here or ricky gone and a low pick.

you bums that want to trade ricky so bad.

even if he rushes for 1000 yards this year, you bums will be TRADE HIM.

I think Ricky is gone by the end of this year. Saban knows he's trouble. I expect a trade around weeks 7-9.

I hope he gets his act together and we have the same "problem" Auburn had with 2 great backs.

At worst we can get him hyped him and shoot for a 3rd rounder next year (as edge and alexander couldent even fetch a 2nd). I'd prefer keeping him onboard, granted he is producing and his head stays together.

Depends on what we can get for him. Why trade him if the value is not good in return? We aren't just going to give him away. Having Ricky right now is a LUXURY. We wen't expecting him to be here, so whatever we get from him or for him is a PLUS. A HUGE plus. I don't think he has any desire to play anywhere else and I don't think he wants to be traded. I think Saban has struck a chord with him and he wants to be here. Then again, Ricky is one strange dude so all bets are off. If he decides to walk away again, fine. We have insurance this time.

But one thing I do know for sure. The Dolphins aren't just going to give him away.

LMAO!!! I believe the trade deadline is Week 5 my good sir..

- Let me see... Are we all in agreement on a 3rd rounder at best? How about a 2nd? No way a 1 , right?

- Where are we going to find that kind of talent in a draft spot like that? For 1, 5 , 15 games? Roll the dice. Hang in there with the guy.

No. There's no salary cap in college. You keep one great RB, not two. You put that money elsewhere. This team has needs.

And I realize that but look at Pittsburgh they have Jerome Bettis and Duce Staley at RB and they don't have a horrible team. Those two also aren't the cheapest backs in the league, Bettis was at $1 million last year, Staley was at $4,662,800 last year. What makes you think we couldn't make this work.

Jill DENIAL!!!!! That is what that is. That is like me saying that the Vikes could not re-sign Moss, and they did. I did not want it to happen. Yeah he is gone now, but b/c of character issues. You do not want it to happen b/c you know that Willis would not even be the best back in the division let alone the league. Had to jab a bit. Nothing personal!

Enough of the hard time. On a lighter note. I hope he does. You can not have to much talent at a position. If they structure a deal right (like Ronnies) anything is possible. Both could have long productive careers w/o bearing a clydesdales work load. That should keep both fresh all season and limit injuries that come w/ a heavy work load.
