Now that Ireland is gone, will come answers come out on certain decisions. This happened when Parcells left, we found out Pat White was his pick and he over-rode Ireland on that pick. Perhaps we may hear that Ireland wanted Jordan with the 3rd pick and Philbin wanted someone else, etc...

This board at least knows the answer to your Dion Jordan question. In the week leading up to the draft Ross and some of his employees, including Ireland and Philbin, had dinner together. Eventually Ross asked everyone on the table who in their opinion was the best player in the draft and they overwhelmingly agreed it was Dion Jordan. Ireland made it happen a few days later.

If it is true the Ireland became very dismayed regarding Shermans game planning & play calling & Philbins lack of action to rectify that obvious problem It will be disturbing that he was the only one actually seeing the obvious. Still think Philbin needs to be gone too.
